Okay, I successfully applied for Adjustment of Status and recently received my card in the mail...
Today, I received an auto-letter from the Selective Service System, providing me with legal proof of my registration? WTF? Am I going to be called up for service? It doesn't help my mood that a bunch of US military pamphlets were included in the freakin' letter!
I'm 26 currently, 27 in July. I thought I was too old!

It is standard - it simply goes off your birthdate and it is all males 18-26. Once you are 27 you are no longer eligible. So you have nothing to worry about.

Part of your civic duty to the USA - you (we) are required to register (age 18 to 26). There is no draft - so don't worry about it.
