June 7, 07 ;By a vote of 33-63, the bill failed a vote in the senate that was to determine its fate.
There probably will be another vote , failing which the bill is likely to be yanked.

Unfortunately, while Teddy Kennedy hasn't yet succumbed to cirrhosis, "yanking" of the bill is only temporary--it will show up again after a time.

Any chance it will show up again before the end of 2007?
There is a parent I-130 filing we are planning by Dec. 07.

I am almost willing to put money on September 07, but that does not mean it would go int effect then.
Oh, and let me qualify that I do not think it is going to look anything like it does now.

Thankfully, the executive office, nor the Senate can make laws by themselves. We have three branches of government, and while the SHAMNESTY bill may pass the Senate, and that's a big MAY, it will NEVER make it through Congress. Keep emailing, writing, and calling both your Senators and Congressmen. It's working.
