Finally received a different response on our case than pending administrative processing!!
Dear Madam,
Thank you for your email message.
The case is currently pending the officer’s final review. Once the process is completed, we will issue and forward the visa via DHL. The process usually takes around two weeks.
Regards,
Consular Staff
NM
I wonder if anyone else has received this particular response and we can take this timeframe serious?? I want to be happy and excited after over four months of waiting, but am scared this is just another "not real" time frame.

Gosh Becky, I don't know what to tell you. I received 2 of those famous letters and then the 3rd it was the real deal. But I think Moody had her hubbys visa approved in 4 months which is good news!

Cairo has really changed the way some things are done so hopefully things are moving a bit faster now. I wish you all the luck and I'm sending good vibes your way!!!

Hey Becky!
Well that "sounds" like good news... sounds like its nearly finished and soon ur husband will be getting his visa... I pray that that really is the truth and it comes very soon for u . Does your husband have his passport ? Or did they keep it at the embassy when he had his interview ??

They kept his passport.
Also, I have been calling DOS and talking to the same lady for the past four weeks. SHe and her supervisor have been emailing Cairo about our case and what is happening if they have not done DOS checks. I just talked to her again yesterday and she told me same situation. But, she also told me that they have a new director of the visa processing dept and they are undergoing big personnel changes. Soooo, maybe this means that things will finally get a move on and all of us that are waiting since interviews at the beginning of the year will begin to get visas.

Maybe that is why they had all those job openings posted. I think Jean got that same email a few weeks before Mohammed got his visa. Here's hoping!!

Well it means you are done with security checks because when we were done they sent me a similar email. So yes, hopefully not much longer!
We have been waiting about a month now since security checks were cleared... My fiance kept his passport with him after his interview and we were waiting for THE CALL for him to send it in. Well, instead of waiting for THE CALL he called the embassy himself about 2 weeks ago and they told him that they were ready to issue the visa and please send us your passport. So he did...
Ok well guess what he got today..... haha no, not his passport, he got THE CALL
A lady called him and said please send us your passport so we can issue your visa. He was like WHAT???$*@*#!! Did you guys lose my passport? hehehe...
But she looked up the case and found that they did have it and she said it should be on its way to him soon...
Just goes to show ya how unorganized they are...

I really hope this is good news for Becky as she was so helpful to me after our interview. Tam, Joulie and a few others of you who know me,but know that I am a private person are aware that my fiancé was called by the embassy yesterday to send his passport for the visa. I am so happy now and I wish the same happiness to those who have been waiting in AP like we were. I really hope Cairo starts cranking out visas in 5 weeks or less of AP as with our case. Becky we were told we would have it back in ten days, which I took to mean two weeks so the times are similar. I don't want to give false hope, but to me it looks good for you!
Good Luck

It's so nice that Cairo is actually working!

It would be so nice that others would not have to endure the wait some of us went through there. Best of luck to you all!
