I tried to change my countdown timer that I have had for two months. I have switched back and forth between rich text and standard text to include my countdown timer. I finally got it to show everything correctly before I "update signature". But when I press the update button, it says my signature is too long. I have given up.

Why is this process so hard? Can't it be made easier to do??

how do you add the countdown at all? mine isn't showing up at all, what am I doing wrong?

It has nothing to do with the countdown timer but to do with the number of characters allowed in the signature. We place a max limit on the signatures to prevent huge ones from filling up entires screens in each topic (as was the case in the past). I can bump it up some if it is a problem though for many people.
