We are in the same boat, we sent ours in on May 9th. to NSC and the signed for it on the 10th. I have since learned that it was then sent to California. Why send it to NSC in the first place? I spoke with a woman from USCIS, and she stated that it could take up to 60 days to get the first NOA1. WOW! It just gets a little dishartening when you hear of everyone getting theirs in 10 days. I guess we need to look at the big picture and know that our loved ones will be with us in 6-7 months. Well, good luck to you and all the other May filers, I am sure we will get our long awaited first notice's soon.

Yes, just hang in there. I know it is disheartening and I know what its like to check your online bank account every 10 minutes. tongue.gif Yours should be coming soon as it looks like you sent your just days after I sent mine. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you both that you'll receive your NOA1 soon. Keep us updated.

i have been unnecessarily antsy due to filing through VSC....
but we've already talked about timing and when he's coming if all goes well due to work and packing and wrapping everything up at home so i'm trying to be optimistic about the wait.......

Sent mine May 24 received and signed by F. Heinour on 5/25 at the Nebraska Svc. Center. I'm checking the bank account every day, but it sounds like we have quite a wait ahead of us. We just need to hang in there good.gif
NowMrs
With an exception of those lucky enough to file at VSC, you are looking at at least 3 months before an approval from the CSC. I got my NOA1 on January 29 and my NOA2 on May 24 just to give you an idea. Use the time you are waiting to gather important documents you will need at the interview stage and relax! Against the advice of a friend I drove myself nuts on checking my USCIS case status online! lol Good luck to all of you on your journey!

Hello to all the May filers! Well, thank goodness I finally received our NOA1 yesterday, June 4th. We sent our petition on May 2nd to Nebraska, but like others here, it went to California. They also cashed my check yesterday as well. Finally, to hear something! At least I know we're in the system now. Now it's the long wait....it looks like they might not process our petitions until December? mad.gif That's a lot longer than we thought, but like someone else on here said, we know they will be with us eventually. smile.gif
Ontarkie
Sent our petition to TSC and got the NOA1 pretty quick.

I put the check for the fee in a plain white envelope with a label for the fee. I also included in the petition a table of contents. Maybe that helped. Maybe not. Maybe we just got lucky.

We sent in ours on May 5th, check was cashed May 15th, and we received NOA1 on the May 22nd. It was sent to the TSC first and then was forwarded to CSC.

Sent my I-129F on May 7th, got NOA1 on June 4th. Sent it to NSC but it was forwarded to CSC.
Ken & Marife
Our NOA1 came in pretty quick, I suppose it was the avg, about 10 days. I did send it to the TSC, it was transfered to the CSC where it was processed.

Now we just hope for the best, no RFE's, just a quick NOA2. Good luck and may we all get quick results.
FlyRK
Sent mine to the TSC on May 5, they forwarded it to the CSC, received my NOA1 on May 17 with a receipt date of May 14.

I looked online at the processing times and it says that California Service Center is just processing applications from November '06 - that's about six months - I figured if it takes that long, that we won't hear anything until December. I hope more than anything it goes faster than that sad.gif
Has anyone else heard anything?
ZeeNusah
Ahh...
That is just the date of the oldest petition they are working on (for whatever reason). So I don't think that has any bearing on when ours are going to be adjudicated.
A lot of people get approved before the 6 month mark smile.gif
KristenC
Our petition was sent in May 1st and still no check cashed and no NOA1 received.

I called USCIS today and was told that they seemed to have forgotten to send me my hardcopy of the NOA1. The lady said that I should look for it in the mail in 2-4 weeks.

The NOA1.... is it just a formal letter acknowledging receipt of visa application or can it be a RFE??

hi guys! we sent our I-129F last May 17 to the CSC and until now, we havent received anything yet and today is already June 9 blink.gif And we verified it with the US Postal Service, it was received by the CSC on May 18.

well, i believe, patience is a virute. so, me and my future hubby will just have to wait...

but then, he called the USCIS and the lady that answered the phone said that we should wait for 3-4 weeks. So, we jsut wait.

and i hope that everything will be in the right order.. for all of us..

Good luck to all of us!

It is just an acknowledgemt of receipt of your petition and it has your case number on it. It is not an RFE smile.gif

I wrote the embassy last evening and "cussed them out" and they responded to me immediately here is my letter:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

My receipt number is My name is Leroy... Petioner
for Finace Venessia...My I-29F was approved on May 2
The file was received from NVC on the June 1st.

I was further given the date of July 3rd to drop off my DS-230 via email
request, that would make it one month just to drop off one form.

Given that I was given this very long date to drop off the DS-230 form,
my request is if you could Kindly provide me with package 4 on that date
and I'm also requesting and interview date.

Please let me know if it is possible to give us an interview date at
this time. If not I'm asking if we could drop off the form any earlier.

I'm making this request because of the length of time which we were
given just to drop off this one form could possible given unforseen
circumstances, set our interview date back. We have the DS-230 form
downloaded and properly filled out. "

Actually I was aware that they would not be able to give me an interview date yet, I just wanted to sound a little ignorant.
Here is their response:

Dear Mr....:

An appointment has been scheduled for June 19th at 12:30 for your
fiancee to submit her Ds-230 pt 1. Unfortunately, and appointment for
interview is approximately a month and a half after she submits the
form. In the future, please refer to the case number, which is
#### instead of receipt number.

Best Regards,

Immigrant Visa unit

I'm glad to know we are not alone...our I-129 was sent to TSC May 15th, received May 17th, check was cashed on May 23rd, and I have yet to receive an NOA. I realize the NOA1 is not as big a deal as the NOA2, but I think having it would help ease my mind!!!

Good Luck Everyone!!

If they said they received your receipt then I am guessing it is your NOA1 (I don't know whether attorneys get all the correspondence from the service centers). Did they give you your case number? Maybe you could get a copy of it.

Good luck on your journey!

hi guys! my fiance called USCIS last week and we got our case number. whistling.gif

and then, we checked it on-line and it says that they received our docs last June 5 though we sent it May 17 and according to USPS, uscis received it on May18.

So, we are just waiting for the hard copy of the NOA1. And then my fiance called uscis again and they said we just wait for 45 days. We really wonder why is it so long? coz i know for others, they their NOA1 just after 2-3 weeks. unsure.gif

does it mean we will have our NOA2 the longer time? We are so worried... blink.gif

But I believe.. patience is always a virtue. so, we just wait and see.. innocent.gif

I did the same thing you did. I made table of contents and title page for every forms and even put pictures of both of us in a photo album inserts. I also included all of my military medal achievements and it was pretty organized package. I mailed my package on 9 May; check cashed 5 June; I checked online and it said package received 1 June and we will mail you when it's approved...still waiting for NOA1 to this date. I guess I have to be an angle and wait just like everyone else. innocent.gif

I am keeping an eye on the April filers. As soon as they get through it will be our turn smile.gif

Our I-129F package was mailed out May 31st.

CSC cashed cheque/issued receipt number June 7th. (The receipt # is the NOA1, right?)

Twiddling our thumbs waiting the six-eight months it'll supposedly take till I set foot in the USA with my K1 Visa.

We hired a lawyer, I wonder if that delays our petition any? The lawyer said we will prolly be approved by Christmas, if not before. Her exact words: "...if not before..." That's comforting...innit?
