Hi folks, just a quick question or two. My husband and son have arrived on their K-3 and K-4 visas. We are sitting here filling out forms for the AoS - specifically (sorry if this is a stupid question) where do I find the Alien Registration Number?

and for question 16 on the I-130 it says "Has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings? (gives you a choice for yes or no) then Where? When?

Then it goes on to give you choices "Removal - Exclusion/Deportation - Rescission - Judicial Proceedings" - Is the K-4 immigration interview at the airport upon their arrival considered an immigration proceeding or not? He's never been any of the above, only had the PoE at Newark with his K-4.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

You should post this in the CR1 forum. Good luck. good.gif good.gif

Well, no, it's not CR-1 it's for his I-130 and he already has a K-4 (which is a dependant of a K-3) and I read the description of this forum and it specifically stated questions for I-130's should be asked here biggrin.gif Or I would have posted it in the AoS portion, as that is where we will be next, but atm I figured as we are on the K-3 / K-4 status the question would most certainly apply here. But thanks!

Its about adjustment of status, so it should be in the AOS forum. It will probably get moved there. You are in the adjustment of status phase now.

You'll find your husband's A number on his NOA2. The son may not have one you can see. You can just answer "unknown". They'll find it.

Leney,

Your husband's A# may possibly be on the Receipt Notice for your I-130 for him, will likely be on the Approval Notice for the I-130 (if it's been approved), may possibly be on his visa in the comments section under his photo, and should be written on his I-94 card.

If you are just now filling out an I-130 for the boy then he does not have his own A# yet. You may find your husband's A# written on the boy's I-94, or not.

The boy has certainly not ever been under immigration proceedings if this is his first time in the USA.
