Hi there, my mother is applying for me to go and live in the states, my family are all there. so that shouldnt be a problem. what i would like to know is that once it is all approved and you have your US visa, how long is it before you have to go live there? Basically i need to know if there is a time limit on you moving to the States once your visa is approved. I have looked everywhere but cant find the answer to my question.

thanks for your help.

On some visa types, you have to activate your visa within 6 months. All you have to do for that is fly to the US and go through immigration.
You do not have to live there at that time if you can't. But the visa process is only finished when you went through costums & immigration in the US.

I don't know if there is a time limit like that for the type of visa you apply for but that's all I can tell you!

Good luck with everything
