Hey all, I am new to all this and have just filed the first set of papers for me and my husband. I sent in the I130 on the 12th of May but my check has not been cashed and I have not received a NOA yet. Should I worry? What should I do? Is this normal wait time? It seems from what everyone has posted it should be quicker than this. Scared and worried, Tonya in Phoenix

Don't worry, apprently this month they are taking a little long to process, give them a week and then call them.

I just got my NOA1 so maybe that is a good sign for those of us filing in May... I never thought I would be so happy to see a piece of mail... I am not going to file for the K3 visa.... Happiness abound....

Congrats.. why are you abonding the K-3?
Cetin Tonya
I hope I have not caused confusion, I am filing for a K-3 visa and have done so now that I received the NOA for my I-130. The check is clearing the bank now for the 129F-K-3 visa so I should, hopefully, be recieving my first NOA on that soon.

I don't know what you meant by 'abonding'. But I am now filing for the K-3 visa because it will probably be much quicker than waiting on the I-130.

Hope that answers it for you!! Good luck to all and let's all hope the number of visas before us are not substantial so we get processed soon!!

Sorry, that was a mistype by me, I meant that I was NOW going to file the K3.
