In I-129F petition my fiancee has entered wrong place of birth , if i furnish my Packet 3 forms with the correct place of birth , then there is gonna be a mismatch in what we have filed in I-129F . Will the visa issuing consulate overlook this and accept the place of birth that reflects in my official birth certificate or wil they deny me a Visa crying.gif crying.gif ?

somebody have any clue about this?????
CherryXS
I entered the "wrong" date of birth for Pras (her actual; officially--as in on passport, etc--it is one year later) and it worked ok.

The one headache that Pras DID have had to do with the police clearances--which resulted in her having to postpone the medical for after the interview; the CO gave her a "provisionally approved, pending receipt of medical", which meant she had to make a second trip to the consulate to deliver it.

The discrepancy between the dates on her passport and the G-325A were never questioned, nor was the issue of a birth-certificate raised at the Consulate (though it was raised, as RFE, when I submitted her AOS papers).

then i have no reason to worry as of now...

thanks for input

today i filed a new application at Hyderabad passport ofice for change of address , renewal of passport , police clearance certificate for a sum of 1300 /- and was told to collect the new passport in person on 11th june.

i read somewhere that unless you show your interview letter they are gonna issue an PCC, but Hyderabad passport staff raised no objections and simply accepted one application form for 3 miscellaneous services

hopefully all goes well by 11th june.

Hello! Thanks. He had about a 30-min ordeal at JFK. Here is the experience just in case you didn't see it:

RFE was due to nonsubmission of primary evidence of relationship , my fiancee just sent engagement pics . As i always save my bills and important doucments , fortunatly all boarding passes, luggage tags , flight itineraries, credit card statement of Gray lines , SF payment and etc were preserved in my email inbox , which i retrieved and sent them to my fiancee . Thats how we dealt the RFE and finally out of USCIS jaws.

Now into the notorious chennai conulates hands, lets see how it goes.

Even ,I dont have a Birth Certificate but found a way from a legal advisor , and when enquired at our native home town , as far as the information we got , there are prety good chances that i can get a birth certificate , my dad left for home town today ,hope it works out.

Good luck with the BC! Probably my guy could have got it, because anything is possible and "adjustable" in India, but he didn't wait around to find out. After 2 weeks of dealing with the local village office (where he was born & where his family still lives) just giving him excuses and delays, he left back to the city where he was working.

We asked her brother to DHL it from India, and then sent it to MoSC.

Pras' 10TH-Class cert (which had the wrong date on it) was the one used for her passport (the passport office had only wanted that, not her BC).

It sounds like the 10th class certificate (or other doc) will do fine to get an Indian passport and for the visa interview in India; BUT for AOS process here in USA, the actual Birth Certificate is necessary, right, CherryXS?
CherryXS
Yes (though USCIS still issued the AP, EAD and conditional GC with the date from the passport).

You can email the Embassy about it that wrong date of birth was entered on I-129F by mistake. They will appreciate your honesty.

Always keep the passport in front of you or the copy of it for filling out forms.. because thats the first thing Embassy checks... always put on info which is on the passport.. be careful next time
