What is the airfare between Moscow and Vladivostok these days ?

I bought one last year and I want to say it was like $1000/RT.
Don't quote me on that, but what I did was called the Delta SkyMiles hotline and told them I wanted to get a domestic Russian ticket through Aeroflot (a partner airline) and they set me up with the people I needed to talk to. I already had the Aeroflot number and everything, but the Delta people secured my ticket at the SkyMiles price. I didn't have enough miles for a free ticket... not then, anyway. I used them later for her ticket to come here! (I got her a free domestic flight to Moscow, then paid for her SVO-CVG (via Prague and JFK) flight for around $700. So, the whole trip here was only about $700. Cheaper than her RT for the interview!)
When we were in Moscow in 2005, she bought a ticket at the post office for right around $300. When she checked the local office in 2006, they told her it was like $1200/RT, that's why I called through Delta to get the cheaper fare.
Results vary. The best thing to do is to have her check the local Aeroflot, Dalavia, etc., offices (and the post office too) and for you to find the flight numbers via the airline websites, then call about the specific flights you want on those dates. Aeroflot.ru has an English version that is pretty good. Hold on... I'll go check.......
A quick check on that website reveals a $1781 fare on a Tuesday through Tuesday flight. A Thursday through Tuesday flight goes for $1484. A flight from Moscow on Tuesday and returning the following Thursday is $1059.
Just plug in different days, and you can find the lowest price. Remember too, these tickets are sold at Russian prices in USD, so if the dollar is fluctuating, wait until you get a better exchange rate and you could save potentially $100 or more.
Any questions, PM me. Good luck, and let me know what kind of deal you get. I may be flying that route in the near future myself!
