In the packet 3 instructions for the K-3, it tells him to include Form DS-156 in duplicate, An original form DS-156K and the supplement form DS-157.

They never gave him the DS-156K and the title says "Nonimmigrant Fiance Visa Application"

Does anyone know if this is necessary for a K3 going through Cairo?

I do not kow about Cario but for the K3 that we did in Jordan, my husband had to go online and fill them out and then print them and I believe that he had to sign them not sure since he had to do them. Department of State is where the forms are. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure with the K-3, but we did need it with our K-1. Hopefully someone that's gone through Cairo recently with a K-3 can help more.

Mo's packet 3 only asked for DS-156 and 157, two copies. I just looked at his packet 3 requirements again and saw nothing about a DS-156K. I believe this particular form is for K1. I just looked it up and read it and it seems to be for a fiance visa application.

Ok so I guess we'll risk it and not put it in. I think Dee's hubby's instructions had the DS-156K there too though. She's in the midst of moving I think though so I'll just wait and see. Thanks

I don't think I'd risk it if the packet 3 requested it. It couldn't hurt to include it. If they don't need it they can just discard it.

My husband's packet 3 didn't ask for the DS156k either.....I think Moody's right.....it's just for the K1 visa.

That is really strange. Oh well I sent him the pdf file so he can fill it out. Better safe than sorry. Just weird though 'cause the page says K3 right on it and then asks for the list of documents and that is one of them.

i cant remember... I think I looked on this site and it listed the K document.. But I dont remember if he sent it.. I think I had him send it Just incase anyways..
