Hello:

My dad is being the co-sponsor for me. He filed a joint return with my mom.

1. If I submit the W-2's of my dad, the total income from the W-2's does not corelatae with the total income on line # 22 on 1040 b/c it has my mom's
income too. Is it ok? or do I have to submit my mom's W-2's also?

2. should I subtract my mom's income from Line # 22 on 1040 and just write my dad's income on Line# 7 on I-134 (total income earned)

Thank you for your replies.

Just have your mom fill out I-864A. It isn't that big of a deal.

You can do #2 and subtract out mother's income.

Thank you YuAndDan.

So, I will subtract my mom's income from the total income and write that on line # 7 in I-134 and

just turn in my dad's w-2's.

Is this right?

adhi i would suggest that you include your moms tax papers too eventhough she is not a co-sponer. it probaly will help and i am sure it won t hurt in any case.

Question:

are you including your dad's W2 as well? or just tax transcripts? what other documents are you sending from the co-sponser?

thanks

shall I still write only my dad's income on the I134 since he is signing it

and as you said i'll include my mom's W-2's too.

Do you need to submit copies of 1040 and W2 if you are submitting transcripts?

I attached both transcript, and (1040/W2) to the I-134, I felt redundancy is the best policy in this case.

For 2006, I am including w-2, 1040 along with the tax transcript. For 2005 and 2004, just the tax transcripts, I cannot find the w-2's for those years.

From the co-sponsor, my dad, I am sending his tax returns, bank letter, bank statements (3 months), employer letter, check stubs (5 months).

I also wrote his life insurance and mortgage information in I-134. Do I need to support this with proper documentation.

Thank you
