Alright!!

My cousin is in a exact same boat I am in. His wife is in India, going thru New Delhi. She never received Packet 3 and within a week had interview scheduled after the paperwork arrived in Delhi. On the other hand, I was just told that Packet 3 has been mailed to my wife, we have to submit it and after that they will schedule the interview. I was hoping for July but I don't know anymore. I think I am going to have her overnight Packet 3 early next week.



I am really frustrated. This sucks!!

Is your cousin going for a CR1 visa or a K3/K1 visa? The packet 3 process for them are slightly different. For a CR1 visa packet 3 is actually the DS230 documents that need to be mailed to the NVC, where as with K3/K1 packet 3 is sent after the embassy received the file from the NVC.

If your cousin is going for the exact same visa as your wife, then I'm not sure what the disconnect is.

Can you just drop it off at the embassy? That way you know it will get there and it will probably be faster then any mail courrier.

I haven't sent anything to them yet, but perhaps you want to list the type of Visa you want on the envelope to help them route it? And maybe you want to mention your NWD case number.

Anyway, thats what I would probably do - not sure if its right or wrong.

Does anyone know what the procedure is to pick up packet 3/4 from New Delhi embassy. Just called DOS and they have no clue what is going on. I am thinking about sending my wife to the embassy. Does she need to make appointment or something.

Have you been successful at contacting the New Delhi Immigration Visa Unit by e-mail? (putting your NWD case number in the title maybe?)

they will never give packet 4 from window

even i didnt get reply from embassy so i personally went to new delhi embassy help desk n asked them

My friend went to delhi embassy last week and was able to pick up Packet 4. I have got a different problem now, my wife's visa expires on Aug 11th. I don't know what will I do if she doesn't get a inteview date before that.

for which country isnt she a delhite

She is in India and will be going to Delhi embassy for interview. K3 visas are only valid for 4 months. Her K3 was approved on April 12th and will expire on Aug 11th. If she doesn't get interview date in July, I will have to talk to my lawyer about it. Hopefully, we can get the date extended.

Well, I heard back from Delhi. Just my luck, even though a completed copy of Packet 3 was delivered via DHL to them 10 days ago, they are saying that they never received it. They have dispatched another copy to my wife which she is never going to get. She is going to Delhi in next couple of days to submit it.

hey, early august is good. At least now you know when yours it. Let's see what happens with us. My wife cried a river when I told her today. Such a waste of time. Keep in touch.

will u belive its 9 months i m waiting to be with my hubby despite he has taken 2 trips to india after our marriage he went back last month only and he is so tense now that i m having such a late date he is damn furious with this system

According to DHL New Delhi received our P3 on June 10th and I got email from them 2 days ago stating that they didn't get it. My dad went to the embassy today and was told that P3 was received and the interview will be scheduled in August. WTF??

Well, the reason I am worried is coz of mis-information from the embassy. It is all up in the air with them. I don't know if you read my previous posts but seems like this process is different for everyone. My cousin has exactly same case as mine and same time line. His wife didn't have to fill P3 or none of the crap. They directly scheduled the interview for her after receiving the case from NVC. Go figure that one..
