I did this a couple years ago in a poll format like this one.

It's good to see I'm not the only one who answered "less then two weeks" to your third question! Actually I didn't correspond or know of her at all before traveling to Russia... we just happened to meet while I was there, and it was basically love at first sight!

We are less than a year apart in age. I'm her senior by about 10 months.
We met in person while in a third country (Korea) on business.
We "dated" (in person) for a little over a month, then we corresponded via e-mail/telephone for over 5 years before we saw each other again. After that, it was a little over a year for the VJ stuff and before she arrived here.
So, all told, we're going on 7 years! We always joke about "we've been married six months.... feels like 6 years." But, in actuality, it's been about that long. We weren't "together" for that whole time, but we both knew we were going to end up together. Sure, we did our own thing while we were apart, but the "choice" to overcome the time and distance has definitely made it easier on us now that we're together. I think that's what truly makes VJ couples unique. The fact that they have to try so hard, just to be together.
It's almost like a cold beer after a hard day's work. It just tastes better!

I agree I think both people make extra effort because of all the hardship and difficulties in making the decision and the journeys.
