Though I didn't do this myself, I've read many others who are doing the same thing (going through a third country). It doesn't seem all that unusual.

My husband had his K1 interview in South Africa. He's from Nigeria. His interview was very smooth and they treated him very fairly. However, there was a Nigerian going through Nepal and that did not go very well. I think the main thing is how is the embassy in general. (tough vs. easy). Best wishes to for your interview! And a happy reunion to come.

I think everything will be OK. Nevertheless, I will keep you both in my prayers.
