Mods if I put this in the wrong place please move it.

I'm really at the end of my rope with the DMV here in Denver. I'd been told I had to bring in my AOS paperwork and I could basically walk out with a license.
When I did that, I was told to go verify my status at the DMV downtown who is hooked up to CIS. After getting an approval letter in the mail, I went back and was told today that no, I still can't get my licence because my I-94 is now expired. The guy was about as helpful as a f!@#$%g rock. Why would the SAVE system (System Alien Verification somethingorother) tell me I'm good to go, then have me get rejected by the lump behind the counter of the DMV?

Has anyone else had issues like this with getting a license? Or is it totally hopeless and I have to wait til my Greencard comes (that's actually what the guy told me.)
I could sure use some advice...

Thanks,
-L

You would actually have to look at the Colorado DMV site to see what their requirements are.... Because every state is different. My experience will be different but I know in AZ the DMV issued my license based on a year from my NOA 1 date of my AOS. Good luck.

Ah, lucky you!
The DMV site is relatively vague for me... it states they want to see an I-94 but it doesn't mention anything about AOS papers, etc.
Guess I'll just have to wait.
thanks for the response!
