When I first got my K1 visa, it had the wrong A# on it, although I hadn't noticed at the time. When I went to get my biometrics done, they pointed it out to me and suggested I make an infopass appointment to correct it, which I did and it was corrected for my AOS and EAD applications, but not for AP because they said they couldn't do it from that office, but that it wouldn't be a problem.

I got my AP a while back and used it last week. I didn't even think about the wrong number until the border guard asked about it when we were flying home. We explained and, even though I had completely forgotten to bring something with the new A# with me (oops!), she approved my re-entry.

The only problem with the whole thing was that the A# she had for me (and wrote down on my AP paperwork) is completely different than the corrected A# I got at the infopass appointment. At both the border crossing and at the infopass appointment, they asked me a bunch of questions (where I was born, my parents' full names, current address, etc.) to confirm they had the right file pulled up, so now I don't know which one is the right number...

I guess another infopass appointment is in order. Sigh.
