Hi,
I have a question. Does the AOS have to be notarized in the US?
Because my wife is in England with me and she is not going back for another 2 months. I want this process to go as quickly as possible and if it has to be notarized in the US then we will have to wait another 2 months. Can someone give me an answer to this please!!!

You can always have her take stuff that has to be notarized to a U.S. consulate in England - consulates do notarizations that are considered U.S. notarizations. My husband and I had to do that for some documentation for the IRS at the consulate in Calgary.

If I remember correctly, old form did require notarization, but new form doesn't.

The I-864, affidavit of support (AOS) does not need to be notarized any more. So don't worry.
