Hello wink.gif ,

I am a newbie,

I married my husband in Senegal Africa. My husband is originally from Nigeria. He has his temporary resident permit for Senegal.

Has anyone heard if there are problems with K-3 and Senegal?

Newbie wondering?? innocent.gif

Welcome to VJ and congratulations on your marriage. Not sure about your question but hopefully someone can tell you that is processing from that region. Good luck.

Are you going to try for the CR1 also? Well I don't know much about the process in Senegal but I think there are some on here from there.
Best wishes

Omorlove123,

Hi!! Well, congrats on everything -- new marriage and expecting. Wow!!! kicking.gif

Well, my husband is from Senegal, so his process went through Dakar. He came on a K-1, so unfortunately I can not really help you out on any K-3 questions (but I know at least one other person on VJ did do the K-3 through Dakar). Anyway, I can tell you what I know about the embassy. Although, they weren't the most helpful or friendly with the tourist visa application (which was denied), they were nice for the K-1 process. I emailed them and they responded timely, the visa information line (which is fee-based) was helpful (although some people with complicated questions seemed to have it a little harder), and the officer that interviewed my then fiance was very nice.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

It is good to hear there are others who have sucessfully brought their husbands from Senegal, Dakar to here. When you said the embassy was not helpful do you mean the American Embassy or the Senegalese Embassy? Does the person who was sucessful in bring her husband from Senegal to here, using a K-3 still post to VJ? It would be good to read her experience.

Thank you for the information yes.gif

Welcome to the VJ family. If you can't find the support or answer here, it might not be easy to get elsewhere. You are in the right place.

I got my K-1 (my wife is the USC) in Senegal, I was living at Mali at the time and they don't do K-1 interviews in Mali...

Let me know if you have any specific questions.
