After calling NVC and talking to a real person, I found out Joan's and my case left NVC 5-23!!! That was not more than an hour after getting the lame November story from CSC. The relief is beyond words.
I want to thank all the kind people who have offered their support the last week. It has been very difficult being in the CSC Twilight Zone, and the encouragement I have received from everyone has meant the world to me.

Congratulations -- but you may not be quite done with CSC 
You need your NOA2. You might want to call CSC, or have your Congressman do so, to inquire why you don't have your NOA2 given that NVC has already forwarded the approved petition to the appropriate embassy overseas!
