Unfortunately, Claudia has to work that day. She's asked for a reschedule, but if we don't get it, we'll just have to make due.

Hard to believe that this long, stressful and murky process is finally coming to an end! And it was actually lightning fast for us, especially compared with other people's experiences.

Congratulations Walter, finally you got your interview. Do the best and go to the interview on that day, to reschedule means you have to wait another month or so...you never know what else can happened, what new law etc.......

Thanks, Adriana. We made clear in the e-mail to the consulate that we didn't want to reschedule if it meant waiting longer, so I assume we'll do it on the 25th. Shouldn't be a big deal--my wife will be happy to not have to teach that day -- of course, she won't be happy having to spend an entire day driving, waiting and interviewing.

So are you ready for your interview? Tuesday, isn't it? Where do you have to go to do it?

It will be a hard day for Claudia: long drive, interview and medical...by the way, did they put an appointment for the medical on your appointment letter? I think it is good for you guys to go a day before and spend the night to a hotel.

I cannot wait for Tuesday. I live only 1.10 minutes driving from the Consulate in Frankfurt so I decided to rent a car and drive there in that morning. I have the appointment for 7.30 am, you?

I'd like to be able to go the day before, but with the kids I don't think it'll be possible. Though we could leave after they're already in bed, that may be a thought... Though I imagine we'll get up early early early and drive.

Our interview is at 8:00 am, but for the medical exam the time is listed as 0:00 ! Does this just mean we show up and wait? Maybe I'll e-mail and ask for confirmation.
