My husband is here on a K3. He arrived August, 2006. He wants to return to see his mother in October of this year but wants to stay a month and a half. Is this too long? Not sure when his AOS interview will be, if it goes quickly and the processing time stay up to date, maybe he will have his interview in November of this year. He already did his fingerprints. Now we are waiting for medical, if that's the next procedure. K3 is a multi entry visa. But will they question him on how long he will be out of the States? And is a month and a half too long?

Thanks ahead of time.

not sure if this will help you at all, but my husband has been out of the country on Advance Parole (necessary for K1's while AOS is pending) for a month. I would think the only thing to concern you would be missing appointments should they come up. its always a risk.

I agree,

I am having the same issue. I purchased two thousand dollars worth of airline tickets last month. At the time the New Orleans office was taking 18 months to process applications. This month they jumped ahead eight months in one fell swoop. The net result is that the timing will be very close on interview timing. I have my congressional immigrations liason investigating a solution for me. Will keep you posted.

The timeframe of a month and a half should be a non issue. Can't he wait just a little longer?

Hey thanks for the replies. No, his mother is missing him too much, LOL Mama's boy, I guess. He wants to go then.
