Sorry, last post today I promise!

I have to get some documents from me in the UK to my husband is in the US as quickly as possible, then he needs to get them back to me ASAP.

Favourite and quickest method of posting a small packet of papers?

He just sent me some stuff via the normal US postal system and it took over two weeks to arrive so we won't do that again mad.gif

Griff and I have always used traditional post for both letters and small parcels. When he sends me stuff from the UK it always arrives quickly. When I send him stuff to the UK it always takes way longer. Not sure why, though Griff claims that the UK postal service is rubbish.

You might want to use DHL or UPS or FedEx if you want guaranteed quick delivery. Just be prepared to pay a fortune!

When I send things Global Priority (it's flat rate) via the USPS it seems to get to the UK within 4-7 days, but they have rush service available for like $25 extra.

I sent my husband my daughters birth certificate via Airsure (post office) the bloke said it would take 5 days and I blooming well paid extra and after 2 weeks it still has not arrived. I rang DHL at 11:20 this morning, at 12:00 my second package to my husband is on it's way and the lady said it should arrive tomorrow, I will let you know the results. This service has just cost me £44.27 so I popped a note in for hubby as well and they also provided the envelope. Now that is what I call service.

Thanks guys... I just found https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ which offers 1-2 day DHL service for £21.53, whereas DHL themselves seem to charge about £34 for the same service (rolls eyes).

God this whole process is expensive isn't it?
