Hi everybody!

This is the first time I am posting here although we registered and put our timeline on this website as soon as we filed our I-129F with CSC.

First of all let me share our joy with you: we were APPROVED!!!!! smile.gif on 14 May (NOA2 date) !!!!!!!!!! and THANK YOU, Visa Journey and everybody who contributes to this wonderful source of information!

Now, let me share our experience of getting the NOA2.

Our NOA1 was dated 27 Feb 2007. Ken received hard capy on 03 March. Since then we have been wating for the approval. As you all know it gets really tough being apart so we started thinking about me coming over to the US and visiting Ken because I still had a valid toursit visa. We spent so many days hesitating over the risks involved!!!! Be sure we have read all Visa Journey posts related to coming to the US while petition is pending. Finally we decided to do it and prepared all documents that were suggested here (employer letter, letter form Ken, property docs). So, on 12 May I arrived to Houston, TX and was standing in passport control line praying. I came up to the officer. He was very nice. Ask who I was visiting. I said honestly my Fiance. He said: Oh, so you are coming on K1? I replied: No, on tourist visa. We filed docs for K1 and we are wating for approval. He had no problem with it. Asked how long I visited last time (2006 Christmas) I said 2 weeks. He aslo asked when we were expecting the K1 visa to be issued and I told him around September. That was it! No problem at all. And he stamped my passport with November date although my visa expires it July. I was so happy! After all this hesitation it turned out so easy. But if I had to do it again I would prepare all docs that I had with me just in case.

Now, let me tell you what happened next. Our case has not been touched since 03 March. On May 14 it was touched fist time! Then, on May 15 we got another touch. We were getting pretty excited and nervous! But, nothing changed on the website... until Friday May 18 when we received NOA2 by mail in our post box!!! And, note this: today is May 22 and USCIS website still says that our case is pending and Ken did not get any E-mails from them on the aprroval! I guess this is just another one of their many delays but I do not care much about it now since we have the hard copy in hand! smile.gif And we are so happy that we got our approval during my visit to the US and we had a chance to celebrate it together!

That is all for now. Just wanted to share our experience with all of you. Maybe it will be helpful for somebody.

Best wishes to everybody,

Vera.

Hi Vera :-)

good.gif Your post gave us hope. Our NOA1 from CSC is 2 days after yours, last touch is March 12 and then nothing more after that. Like you, we tried calling the 1800 number, yet getting the same information as we are getting from the website. I am hoping that like you, we will be getting NOA2 in hand soon the same way you are getting it.

Congratulations. God bless.
