I need to call about my K-1 petition that is at CSC. Does anyone have the telephone number? I can't find it. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. Is the USCIS and CSC the same? I mean CSC is the USCIS, right??? I am so confused.

Thanks everyone ahead of time.

Here's anything and everything you need to know about the CSC. I live right down the road from it. I could go knock on their door and ask them what's up for you! good.gif Hope this helps and enjoy your journey. Ken

Randy, if you have any questions about the process as you go feel free to send me a private email. I'll be glad to help you out if I can. My fiance is from Thailand also so you'll be going through everything that I already have. Ken

It's not possible to call any service center. Call the USCIS misinformation line and keep in mind that they often provide completely inaccurate information.

CSC = California Service Center
USCIS = United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

No, CSC is not USCIS. It's a USCIS service center.

Thanks for the info; but you didn't leave me a number to call the "misinformation line". Do you have it?

Thanks,

Thanks Ken. I appreciate it. I feel it is getting close for our NOA2. blink.gif I am looking every day now. As soon as we get the NOA2, our attorney in Thailand will set up her medical and get her police certificate. So when the packet arrives at the embassy, they will have everything done already and he will just request an interview date. I will email you later.

Thanks,

Randy

Well actually you can call CSC, but i dont recommend doing it unless you need to. If you call the main line and follow the prompts for questions about an rfe and talk to an operator, you will reach an operator at CSC and they will likely be able to give you more accurate information about your case.

I have never heard this before - hard to know if it's true. To my knowledge, there is one USCIS phone bank and none of those people are physically connected to any service center. They can only access information available to them online - same as what you see on the case status site generally. They cannot tell you what is holding up a case or specific status unless perhaps they have sent an RFE and you didn't see it online and never received the letter in the mail.

Ok, Thanks. No RFE; There were two WAC#'s on the back of my check, when they cashed it in March. Only one worked and that is the one I have been tracking. I just wanted to make sure that I am tracking my case; which I probably am, but just a little curious is all. I think I will just give it some time.

Thanks for the info.

Randy, I did the same thing, hired an attorney in BKK. Mintra is OK with her English but still learning and the forms were a little overwhelming for her. My NOA2 was approved on 4-24-2007, received at NVC on May 7th, and then approved and sent to BKK Embassy on May 9th. As of today, they still haven't received it but should have it anyday if not already. Like you, Mintra went and did her police checks and medical exams last Friday and the attorney has already filled out her paperwork for Packet 3. Once that is submitted, as you know, you get Packet 4 and an interview date. I'm hoping ours is in the middle or end of July. On the link I sent you there is a toll free number on their for the CSC. I called them and got good information. I think it really depends on who you talk to like anywhere else. If at first you don't succeed try, try again. Good luck and keep in touch. Ken

The website says "Customer Service" is 1-800-375-5283 ... this is not the same number as the national call bank. cheers

Hi reach449! Let me join the discussion.

Got the same concern as you are having now. I also wanted to call the CSC and know how's our application going on. We wanted to know also if they still have our papers since others are getting their NOA2's. Me & fiancee tried calling the 1800 # and all we are getting is the same information that we see on their website.

I see that we almost have the same timelines. Our application is 82 days from the date of mailing yet, maybe we can wait 1 more week and then we do something. Like you, we are praying that there'll be no problem(RFE) until we get our NOA2. Others are not getting NOA2, all they get is NVC email or mail that their documents are already forwarded to consulate office. Let's just pray for good NOA2 or NVC email/mail. good.gif

This is true. I was going to post the same answer but I didn't want ppl to call them UNLESS it's necessary. I cld three times and spoke directly to a CSC rep (hence my approval via phone). When I cld the first time I spoke to the USCIS general line and they weren't able to assist me so I cld back and followed the RFE prompts. THey were looking at the same status we were.
