You should try posting this in the new Philippines forum. You might find more people from your country that have specific knowledge.

Or perhaps even more helpful, the Bringing family members of US Citizens to America forum.

I would even try posting this in the Canada or U.K. forum, they seem pretty knowledgeable about EVERYTHING!

I agree.

In fact if I were you, I would post it anywhere in this community, not only because UK forums think they have all the anwers, but because they post everywhere, especially if they are not welcome.

Well you're post really doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but if you have recieved the approval notice then I would guess the next step would be an interview at the Embassy? Have you contacted the Embassy in your mom's home country (which I'm assuming is the Philippines) to see if they'd recieved the case paperwork and an interview has been scheduled?

Wow, all you guys sure are tough on the British. I actually like Great Britain very much because they are basically the only nation to support us and George Bush in the war on terror, and their troops stand side by side with ours in Iraq!

Are you serious?

The British people have nothing to do with whether their troops are in Iraq or not. Their government, like ours, is at an all-time low approval rating as well. I'd say the only thing proven by having troops in Iraq is that they have a mentality akin to our own, and are rightfully griped at when attempting to comment on things they know nothing about.

Yep, believe it or not, I'm a Republican and one of the small percentage of Americans who still support Bush and our war on terror. cool.gif

Baaaah! ....... Baaaaaah! I've always wondered why someone supports something just because they ally themselves with a certain party.

So, do you support Bush because you believe in what his regime is doing? Or, do you "have to" support him because that's what good Republicans do, they stand behind their president?

Just to remind you.... gas went up $.50 this week. FIFTY CENTS IN ONE WEEK!!!!

I'll bet you gas money for life both Bush and Cheney are named "honorary board members" of companies like Halliburton, Exxon Mobil, etc., after they leave office... to the tune of several million annually.

And, have you ever noticed, like yesterday, that there's a "new terror threat" right before or right after the president makes a speech? Come on! This isn't rocket science!!!

Rocket science Bush got a D- in rocket science but that was due to the class being early in the morning and involving math.

Slim be nice to the Republicans, most of them dont know any better(I am not party affiliated but I vote every chance I get) I believe in being an independent free thinker who only wants life to get better. Just remember that brainwashing takes time and can be quite tramatic so have mercy on the poor smooth brains. jest.gif

Here in the mountains of Georgia the local hillbilly's think... Georgia Power, Bush, and the oil companies are a bunch of thugs ! ....they all seem to try and control our lives for us.
It's doubful you'll see a Georgia Power exec drive down one particular road in a small valley here because their A******* 'have million dollar vacation homes on 3 certain lakes seperated by three dams... in 2004 the rains from the hurricanes were dumping loads of rains on us but the good ole boys at Ga Power would not open the gates to let the water drop in the lakes through the watershed because their exe's had to party and play on the lakes...one of the gates came crashing down and in 15 minutes three people almost lost their lives and several million dollars of damage was done to the homes.
They could have cared less and bascially told the people that...
I think the oil companies fill the bill and must be first cousins to Ga. Power...they could care less about the people that fill their fat bellies with food..
just my 2 cents worth ...

There's only one way to "stick it to the man" nowadays, and that's to not buy his stuff.

The fact of the matter is, voting isn't going to change anything. It may change the dispersal of funds (i.e., who gets the money) but it's not going to change the fact that someone gets the money.

The only thing that is going to change the status quo, is if we stop living 40 miles from our jobs and driving our SUVs to work. Oh, and we have to stop buying McDonald's from the drive-thru at Wal-Mart and having every single thing in our lives be "convenient." Ever notice that convenience is just another way of saying "more expensive and higher waste?"

Until we're willing to do that, the only thing we can do is be American about it, "I do it... but I don't like it."
