My Luis and I got engaged Jan 3rd this year, my birthday, he asked my dad for my hand and all! So now we´re gonna start our K1 process.
We met back in June/2002 on Cinescape.com, and started chatting on MSN, one year later, in July/2003, Luis came to Brasil for the first time, and we fell for each other. We kept seeing each other on vacations since then, we have been both family approved (

) and now it´s on our way to the altar!

Thanks everyone!

Today I posted my statement, signed G-325As, proof, etc to my fiance in Puerto Rico, should take 10 days to get there, and as soon as that happens, we´ll be starting the K1 for sure! He´ll send to Vermont asap after he receives my stuff. It was good to finally have sent all this but at the same time I kept thinking a dozen times if I had forgotten something. Postal service is so slow from Brasil to PR that I don´t want to miss anything that I might have to wait another 2 weeks to be able to get the I-129F rolling.

I´m originally from Rio de Janeiro, used to live in Teresópolis, a mountain city close to Rio, but for this first semester I´m staying in Rondônia with my family, since my father has a farm up here.

Blackbettie, yes, he did. My father wanted to be traditional, so he went there and asked, even though his portuguese is lousy! He asked in a mix of portuguese and spanish, so sweet! He actually did it to my dad and my mom together, and then he came to give me the ring, while my entire family was standing behind to see us put the rings on.

I never imagined I´d had a candy proposal.
