I sent a I-130 packet on May 7th, 2007 to the CSC. How long would it take to get an NOA1? I saw a lot of timelines which they got their NOA1 in days. Why is that? Is it because they used an attorney?

Thanks!

No, the time for you to get your NOA1 has nothing to do with having a lawyer or not. It depends a lot on many other reasons and sometimes it's pure luck! sad.gif We've been waiting over one month for our NOA1 and we still have nothing. Some others get it within 5 or 10 days!

Did you send it via a trackable method? I sent my 129F packet certified priority, and it took over a week to get from Michigan to Nebraska, when it usually only takes about 3 days sending something that way. It took 13 days from the day I dropped it off at the post office to when CSC issued the NOA1, and about another week or so before I received the physical NOA1 in the mail.

Has the check cleared and have you been able to read the case number so as to punch it into the USCIS site to get information that way?

I sent my I-130 Priority Trackable Method and I am in Cali... very close to the CSC... I know the packet got there the next day... and I have no case number and the check has not cleared yet.
