Blockbuster (and not because I work there) because you don't have to wait for movies, exchange your mailed ones for in store ones in the meantime!

Have Netflix, wish I had Blockbuster.
Really, Mark, was this poll necessary?

Netflix for me

I have Netflix because I don't want to go to Blockbuster, in fact going to Blockbuster is on the top 5 of my "most unpleasant things I can do in my daily life" list. I've had Netflix for 3 years plus, I'm happy with them and their online video thing is cool even if I do have to run Windows to use it. Customer loyalty and a general hatred of all things Blockbusters means I voted Netflix.

I use Blockbuster because it's very convenient for me. There's 1 on my drive to work, there's 1 next to my grocery store, there's 1 about 1 mile from home. They're everywhere.

NetFlix for me. Blockbuster saw how good NetFlix was doing and they tried to get into the on-line video rentals. NetFlix had the original idea and they deserve my loyalty as long as they keep doing good for me. My movies are mailed out and I have another movie within two days. Very fast.

We have Netflix and I'm very satisfied with it. They sent me the wrong disk only once and I complained about it. In the beginning they woulnd't send me dvd's I returned the next day, so I complained for a couple weeks they did that, so I guess they put me in some ''be careful with this client or we'll lose them'' list and after that I have never had any problems. I return and they come on the day after they receive. It's working very well. I just wish they'd work on saturdays. If Blockbuster or Netflix decide to also send and receive dvd's on saturdays there will be no competition.
Ah, and the reason I chose Netflix in the first place was because they've been doing that longer than Blockbuster so we thought it was more reliable. But I have never tried Blockbuster, so who knows? Maybe it is better. I guess I'll never know.

I have Blockbuster and I stay on because I get double the movies for the same price as Netflix (can exchange the mailers for another DVD at the store).
However, they don't always send the next movie in my queue (sometimes #2 or #3) which I don't mind. Also I hear they edit movies if they go beyond R rating. I don't mind that either.

Blockbuster for over a year now. They also give you coupons for free movies in your e-mail. Print and take to store and get a movie that day while you wait for the next movie to arrive in the mail.

Thank you, you reminded me of another reason why I avoid Blockbuster. Anyone know if this is still true? I know they refused to rent NC-17 movies for a long time, anyone know if this is true of their online service.
Being able to make that choice as to what movie I watch based on the rating is a choice I feel I can make myself as an adult. I don't need to be protected from myself by a corporation.

Neither. Request films through the local library. Upside: Free. Downside: Wait ages to see film. But did I say free already..?
If it's something we really wanna see, we'll catch it at the cinema or head to Blockbuster.

Netflix or Blockbuster?

I have used Netflix in the past. Blockbuster kept trying to get me to use their service--never have. But now I use the stand-alone Kiosk, which there are two services in my area both rent movies vending machine style for $1 a day. Latest releases every Tuesday. Redbox and The New Release are the two kiosk providers in my area.
