We are both in the early stages of learning the other's language. I can read portuguese but I have a difficult time speaking it still. Mainly due to non-use. We can communicate very well using programs like IM Translator and using translation books. We use them to Instant Message and to email. If we show our email records then will this satisfy the interviewer or will the interviewer expect us to be able to communicate verbally in the other's language on the day of our interview? We have photos and we appear to be communicating very well in the photos. wink.gif Can you say more about how we can prove that we communicate with each other well? Thanks.

Please check your other thread where you asked the same question.

Emails, phone calls, cards that you have sent each other, messenger logs, ( you can black out the info that you don;t want them to read.) The biggest help for us was that i had visited him 4 times that year. We hardly had any photos

I think that emails are not enough to prove a relation..even though you are going to an interview, it's better to have telephone cards, cards that you sent each other (even the cards from the flowers that you sent)...etc.
I don't know how is at you embassy, but at the Peruvian Embassy they check absolutely everything....
Good Luck Guys... good.gif
