I just phoned NVC and the guy on the other end said that they have my case number there and that they are now preparing the forms to send out, I asked about my daughters case as we had a RFE for her. I mentioned that I had sent the required document to my husband and that he is still waiting for the US postal service to deliver. The guy said that they do not hold cases at the NVC for any reason but they do link cases to the Embassy. I hope this information is useful to all.
