So I am really annoyed at my rejection notice, I figured that one check was ok for my AOS, EAD, Biometrics and my daughter AOS. I'll write separate ones, but what is confusing me is that it says that on my daughters AOS my signature is not valid.
This is what it says exactly:

A valid signature is not contained in the signature block of the application, a signature in the "signature of person preparing this form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature for this purpose.

The thing is that I did sign where it says "signature of person preparing this form" if other than above sign below.

Was I supposed to sign the other part too?

By the way, my daughter is under 14 which is why I signed it, just like it asked me to.

Did she sign? Maybe they sent it back because she didn't sign as well.

I think she's supposed to sign and you're supposed to sign in the part where you prepared her form.

When we filed for AOS in 2005 my son was under 14. I signed the form on the space where my son was supposed to sign. We did not have a problem back then.

I signed in both places as my son is 13.

Read carefully exactly what it says:

A valid signature is not contained in the signature block of the application,

That means there's no signature where it's needed, in the signature block.

A signature in the "signature of person preparing this form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature for this purpose.

That's just extra information telling you that it's NOT ENOUGH to have a signature in the block that says "signature of person preparing this form, if other than above".

lucyrich, You are right, and I really should have known this.

I signed in the spot where the applicant is supposed to sign on my 11 year olds AOS application. Underneath I put an asterik and indicated that I was signing on behalf of a dependent child. I also filled out and signed the part of someone other than applicant completing the form.

It is a very easy fix. The perfect timeline is just a theory. It exists and very few of us will achieve it.
