Full Version: Bringing Stepdaughter/Wife (I-130 approved)
VisaJourney.com > Marriage Based Immigration (K1, K2, K3, etc) to the USA > IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa General Discussion

BW2R
I recently received an approval for my wife (CR1) and step-daughters (CR2) immigrant visa petition and await a case number to speak with the embassy. I was told from a friend that I would have to get certain papers prepared before I go to the interview:

- Shot Records
- Chest Xray
- Criminal Background Check

However, there are a few variables involved that make my situation slightly complicated:

- Wife is 3 months pregnant
- Wife and I are in Korea, 3 yr old step-daughter is staying in the Philippines
- We leave in 2 months

My questions are,

a) Will proof/certificate of pregnancy be good enough to skip the physical?
cool.gif Will my step-daughter have to be present in same country as me during this process?
c) Do you have any references (google doesnt like me) to what a 3 yr old needs (ie; types of shots) before getting the visa?
d) Do you have any tips to expedite this process?

Thanks in advance for those who take the time to respond, any answer will truely be appreciated!

Your wife will still have to do the medical, so no being pregnant will not be an excuse. You will receive a document with what vaccinations will be required, if you can get them done cheaper by a local doctor then go for that option. Weather or not your daughter has to be with you I am not quite sure, you may have to take her to the Embassy for the interview I am sure other posters will advise you on that matter. Good luck and best wishes.
