Saw some people waiting quite awhile for NOA1 recently. Looks like this could be why.

Due to the unprecedented volume of recent H-1B filings, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is temporarily experiencing a receipting/data-entry (DE) front log at its Service Centers.

WASHINGTON – Due to the unprecedented volume of recent H-1B filings, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is temporarily experiencing a receipting/data-entry (DE) front log at its Service Centers. In an effort to give our customers more accurate information about current receipting timeframes and USCIS service level commitments, we are providing the following projections for fee receipting and data entry processing for H-1B cap cases currently at our Service Centers:

Note: These projections do not apply to Premium Processing or I-129 H-1B (cap or non-cap) cases.

California Service Center

USCIS expects to provide in time-compliance for receipting of all form types by June 15, 2007.

Nebraska Service Center

USCIS is currently providing in time-compliance for receipting of all form types as of May 10, 2007

Texas Service Center

USCIS is currently providing in time-compliance for receipting of all form types as of May 10, 2007.

Vermont Service Center

USCIS expects to provide in time-compliance for receipting of all form types by June 2, 2007.

USCIS reminds the public that it may take additional time for a Service Center to complete fee receipting and data entry of an application or petition received and for the receiving Center to mail the appropriate receipt notice. USCIS recommends that persons who have filed a petition or application with USCIS wait at least thirty days from the applicable receipt processing timeframe noted above, before contacting USCIS with inquiries about form receipting. If a response is not received from USCIS within thirty days of the dates listed above, please check the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov or call USCIS customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for updated processing information.

They are just a nightmare. HOW can they really be this inadequate? girlwerewolf2xn.gif They had to know that the H1Bs were going to back everything up. Why could they not have made preparation? UGH! So frustrating.

We filed on the NSC, but our pettion was forwarded or will be forwarded to California, which projection applies for us? The CSC or NSC?
If it is NSC then our package is lost sad.gif as we filed on April 17th and have nothing not even our check has been cashed.

Yup. I was approved on 5/11 and didn't know until I cld USCIS on 5/16. BUT the trick it so call the service center who's processing your case. When I cld the "status" line I got the nat'l service center and was told my case is still pending but I should get a decision w/in two weeks. However, when I cld back and went thru the prompts w/RFE I spoke to a rep AT the CSC and she confirmed I was approved on 5/11. I also asked about the website and he stated my "file" was in the approved bin and it should be updated soon. Well today I recv'd an email that my NOA2 has been mailed yesterday.

Who knows what the real reason is...all I know I'm finally done w/them... kicking.gif

Its almost the same for me... I sent our I-130 packet on April 24th with a signature confirmation to NSC, they signed for it 2 days later and I haven't heard anything back yet and my check has not been cashed.

I sent my wifes I-130 to TSC it was signed for 2 days later, then it was tranfered to CSC. Took 30 days to cash my check and 3 days later I got NOA-1. You should be getting some results soon, if not I would call and start a case to investigate the reason its taking so long.
