hi everyone!

I just wanna ask if NVC actually sends a letter containing the assigned case number after they received files from USCIS (approved petitions)....If yes, to whom they send the letter? Is it to the petitioner or the benificiary?

I obviously know my case number and I got it by calling the automated voice response service. But never received any letter from NVC informing us that they already have our case and has been assigned a case number... the only letter my hubby received was the approval letter from USCIS.

I am asking this in relation to the AOS Fee bill that we have not received yet too....If there really is a letter that we should have received earlier in the process,maybe NVC really has a problem with my hubby's US address.Maybe they are sending the letters to a wrong address.

Pls need ur help....

NVC will send the DS 3032 (Choice of agent) form to the petitioner and beneficiary where your case number will be mentioned. It is better for the beneficiary to select the petitioner who resides in USA as his/her choice of agent so that it is more convenient for mailing purpose. You can take care of the choice of agent by email when NVC will generate DS 3032 form. Please go to NVC forum and read "James' Shortcut."

yes i know that, what i am asking it that if prior to the DS3032 and AOS fee bill generation, does NVC send first a letter or notice that the approved petition or file has been received (by NVC) and entered to their system and that a case number has been assigned?If there is a notice (just like the actual approval letter the petitioner receives from USCIS), to whom NVC sends it to, to the petitioner or the beneficiary?

anyways, thnks to u simple male for always accomodating my question... i really appreciate it...

We did not get any letter from NVC before DS 3032. I do not know, if it is still the same or not. But you don't need to worry about it, since you are already aware of your case number. Just wait for NVC to generate DS 3032 and AOS fee bill (they do generate these two at the same time), then take care of them right away which will save you time.

if u check my signature, our AOS fee bill and DS3032 have been generated and mailed out already.(april 30)...I already have emailed NVC about the agent of choice and they have accepted my appointed agent(which is my mother-in-law in US).

That is why I am asking all this, because I thought there is a notice that we should have received prior to AOS bill and DS3032. We are worried becoz we have not received the AOS bill as well, it has been half a month already since the generation....we are suspecting that there is a problem with my hubby's address.

Okay, I did not check your signature. You took care of choice of agent which is good. So now you need to take care of AOS Fee Bill. Call NVC and find out when they mailed out those. You should have received it by now. Anyway, don't worry, you can use shortcut to take care of AOS Fee Bill also. AOS Fee Bill will lead NVC to send you I-864. So you won't lost any time, because choice of agent will lead NVC to generate IV Fee Bill and IV Fee will lead NVC to generate DS 230. There are two tracks in the NVC process which you are probably aware of:

Choice of Agent--->IV Fee Bill--->DS 230
AOS Fee Bill--->I-864

These two tracks are independent of each other and at the end of the NVC process, NVC makes sure that they have all paperwork.
