CONGRATULATIONS to all who are now among the NVC!
kengumbo
The beauty of the NVC is that we don't stay there very long! I hope we all can remain in touch and watch each other's progress. It will be fun.

I got an SNJ number. I hope that is correct for San Jose, Costa Rica. I guess I'll do a little research...

Update - I received a reply to my e-mail I sent to the consulate on Friday morning. I'm being anally pro-active, so I contacted the consulate via e-mail to let them know my petition was on the way there per NVC, and could they inform me as to what the next steps were so to speak.
This morning, I get a reply that they have not received my packet yet, but were "electronically" notified that it was on the way. They said that w/ this notification they can now sent out Packet 3 to my fiance. For me, the USC, they said I must provide them w/ the I134 and employment(salary) OR tax return information. I find it funny that the phrasing was either/or. I'm not taking any chances and I'm including both: employment letter (along w/ last few paycheck stubs) and tax returns for the past two years. smile.gif

The funny thing was....my e-mail to the consulate was in both languages. I wrote what I had to say first in English and then Hungarian. The reply, however was in Hungarian only! wink.gif No matter, I just wanted it 'on record' so to speak that I am quite fluent in Hungarian, should they question the communication issue between my fiance and I....as he speaks very little English. whistling.gif

So now we're waiting for packet 3 to be sent, hopefully quickly!

Cheers everyone that has made it to and past NVC and to their respective consulates. Let's go Feb filers, keep chugging along! good.gif kicking.gif

Is there a listing of email addresses for the respective consulates?

I would love to contact them too!

Grrr NVC keeps hanging up on me. I KNOW it's only been 6 days. I can't stop myself. ALSO I want to ask them if I can go ahead and change Dan's address in the UK with them to prevent the wrong (old) one from going to the Embassy. London is sending out packet 3 before they even receive the petition lately. Don't want them sending it to the wrong place. Still holding on to the shred of hope for that August wedding. blush.gif
Dan&Tiffany
So...if anyone is curious about the NVC/Embassy transit, I found this posted on one of the regional forums. Thought it could be useful.

EDIT: Several people are reporting that this doesn't work. So - may or may not??

Also the original post can be found here.

QUOTE(ELW @ May 21 2007, 09:29 PM) *
I wrote the exact instructions once and here they are:

First you need to get the "NOA2" - the Notice of Approval of your I-129F application. After getting the NOA2, you can contact the NVC about your case.

NVC Info (to find out when your case arrives/leaves there and to get NVC Case number):
Call (603) 334-0700 - press "1" for English then "5" to speak to a rep on the phone. Be ready with your USCIS case number (it's on the NOA2), beneficiary name and birthdate. K1 visas are NOT entered into the automatic system, so you have to speak personally with a rep. Reps are available 7:30 AM - 12 midnight Eastern time. Call right after they open or right before they close for best results - during the day lines are always busy. They do answer emails but sometimes it takes them 2-3 days to reply! When you get the NVC on the phone, ask them if your case has arrived and if it has, ask for the case number and write it down. Also ask them when it left for the Consulate.

Immediately after getting the NOA2 I kept calling the NVC until they got the case (it took USCIS about 2 weeks after NOA2 to send the NVC my case) and I kept calling daily until they told me when it was mailed to the Consulate.

After the case is mailed to the Consulate, you can track when it arrives.

Tracking your file via DHL from NVC to Embassy:

1. Go to http://www.dhl-usa.com/home/home.asp
2. Click on "Track"
3. Click on "Track by Reference"
4. A "Track it by reference" form will come up. Next to "Reference" type in "CORRESPONDENCE"
5. In the "Shipment pickup date range" put in the date the NVC said they mailed off your package.
6. In the box "Origin Postal Code" type in "03801"
7. Press on the red "Track" button
8. Several pages of results will come up. Look through the "Receiver's Name" for your Embassy. There might be several packages going to your embassy - but you won't know which one is yours. Anyway, most sent on the same day will arrive the same day. Press on the red "Tracking number" of any package going to your Embassy and up will come a page showing where it is now. You can also sign up for notification by email when it is delivered.

After your case arrives at the Consulate, after a few days if you have not received Packet 3, you can start calling up the Consulate or emailing them, saying your case has arrived, give the NVC case number and ask when Packet 3 will be mailed!
Milenka
Well I finally called NVC today for the first time, and it turns out they got our case on June 4. I only had to wait about 5 minutes to talk to an operator, I guess I got very lucky...It's still there, but hopefully it will go to Moscow in a few days smile.gif Thanks for the info about tracking the case to the consulate, I will give it a try...

Just checking in, I have been doing some training with the Army...this process is moving fast, I have already received and interview date...
Nagishkaw
Dang, hmm1.....that sure is fast ! As far as I know, my case is still at NVC. From my understanding, they send them out in batches, so maybe not too many going to Cairo?? I will call later or Monday and inquire.

Congrats!

I'm still trying to figure out the USE site in Manila... blink.gif

It almost looks like we have to request the date ourselves....and pay a fee to do so! wacko.gif
Nagishkaw
I called just now, our case is still at NVC on security checks.
Dan + Gemvita
We have to do the medical before we can return packet 3. But once we do, it should take about a week until the interview.
Nagishkaw
I just called yet again....I was told we are ' marked ' randomly for AR. Our case should go to DC in about 10 days, and stay there for who knows how long. We are in the pit, guys.

My SO lives a few miles from the consulate in San Jose, Costa Rica. We stopped by to see if they received our papers from the NVC. We ended up speaking with the officer that received our case and she gave us packet 3 while we were there. They just recieved the papers today, and we have packet 3 today.

We ran to the office complex and they did her bloodwork and x-ray. She will complete all the requriements and we will possibly have the interview in 2 more weeks!!!!

Who knows, we may even pass off hmm1 (that crazy speed demon)! laughing.gif

Milenka
Has anyone had this problem: I called NVC and got my case number, but now every time I enter it on the automatic system it says that there is no record of my case? I was trying it yesterday, and the day before. I am just trying to avoid having to wait every time for an operator to find out if my case has been sent to the consulate yet. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone! Glad to see everyone getting their packets already!

I decided to start this topic so february filers can track progress of other february filers with the NVC status. I was approved on May 9, but i'm sure it hasn't been sent yet. I hear your supposed to wait 2 weeks before U call. Anyone else hear anything??? kicking.gif

A new topic and some familiar names, along with some new ones! star_smile.gif

I guess I need to read up on the NVC process, as well as the medical and interview phases.... reading.gif

All this before I get the "Official" NOA2 notice from CSC laughing.gif

I did get a touch on May 10 and a second one on May 11, since the folks at CSC said that we were approved as of May 10, my guess is that the touch on May 11 was to scan it out for transit to the NVC...but I honestly don't know tongue_ss.gif

I didn't use a lawyer, but I did use a service to insure that all the paperwork was filled out correctly. For me it bought me peace of mind, mostly because I knew they had filled out 1000's of these before mine (there is no substitute for experience IMO) yes.gif

Hi!! there....I'm approved may 16 from NVC but til now i have not receive any notice from the us embassy. i would ask, have you received your noticed?

jean
Nagishkaw
Approved May 11th, still no hard copy NOA-2, no E Mail saying we are approved, either. Case is with NVC as of May 21st, and now it will soon be on it's way to DC for A/R.
Yes NVC did send me a letter dated May 24th saying it will go to the Embassy within a week, but what a flat out farce that is considering they changed their minds and wanna do this so-called random check thing.

Not yet, but I plan on calling them Tuesday (Philippines time) to inquire about it.

We have hard copy of NOA2, 2 actually, I wish I could give you one! No e-mail from NVC, except in reply to one I sent to them asking if our cased was received. BUT that e-mail was from Friday, the same day that I called! And it didn't mention ANYTHING about A/R though on the phone she said it was being sent to D.C. I will be calling tomorrow to see if we are really in A/R and why we are going to D.C. I am so confused right now!

We're still just waiting for NVC to get ours. Guess they send it via Pony Express.

According to her posts, she is certain her petition is being sent to DC, or was sent to DC. Indeed, we can all use as many prayers as possible.
Could it be possible your petition is already at the Embassy, D&T ?

NVC got our case today. When I called the lady she said she couldn't change Dan's address in the system because someone was working on it now. Also said that I can try tomorrow, may or may not still be there - generally there "less then 48 hours."

Relieved to be out of CSC hell.
