Hi Folks,

After having my case sit at the VSC for 2 1/2 months, I finally got a touch and email notice that my file has been transferred to the CSC for processing since it has jurisdiction now. Does that mean it gets queued all over again as if I lived in California and just sent my I-130 in to the CSC yesterday?

"On May 11, 2007, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE,
FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing"

Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the response! I hope the CSC moves faster than the VSC these days.
nyseness
Yes they move faster but they're still lagging. I have been waiting for 125 days and still nothing.
Geist
It better not! that's all I have to say! Our case has also been transferred.

I mailed an I-130 to Vermont Service Center for filing on March 30, which they received and signed for on Saturday April 7, now after 1 month of nothing (no checks cashed, no filing receipt, nada), May 10 the check clears and I get a filing receipt not from Vermont, but California! Guess CSC is the I-130 shop right now if you guys have cases transferring too!

Someone that filed around the same time as me (but at the Nebraska Center) had their petition shortly transferred to the CSC. They JUST got the NOA2! It gives me hope that once the CSC gets it, it will be worked on. *FINGERS CROSSED*

I'm sorry to doubt you, but how do you know it will be placed in queue on the basis of the NOA1 date unsure.gif? I've personally been under the impression that we would be placed last in the CSC queue after the transfer, with all the May 2007 filers sad.gif.

Vylex, I just noticed that you and I have very nearly the same NOA1 dates and got transferred to CSC on the same day! Maybe we'll get NOA2'd around the same time as well smile.gif

I also recieved this notice on 11th May. Not too sure what happens now though. Does my case get reset to receipt date of 11th May or kept as 3rd Jan 2007...really confused now. Does anybody know an exact answer? I changed my timeline and now it says my I-130 should be have been adjudicated by 28 april 2007. Should I be expecting a decision soon or should I be contacting USCIS for some info? unsure.gif

No, your NOA1 date is still the original date on your NOA1 sheet. What you got on May 11 qualifies as a touch, not as an NOA1.

Thanks for the reply. Thats good news, its looks more encouraging at California anywayz...seems to be processing the cases a lot quicker than vermont. I hate all this waiting!!!

Are there any other people who have NOA1 in January and have been approved???? Just like to know approx timescales.

Not exactly the same thing.

I never got initially filed in VT. There was no transfer notice for me. It was beginning to look like the case had been lost or was going to be rejected because there was not even a check cash for over a month after they received the package.

Finally, my case has only a WAC case number because they just shipped it to CSC from VT for initial data entry and filing receipt generation.

I did a search for CSC (and TSC and NSC who send to CSC all their applications anyway) timelines for January and according to those 17 have been approved while 4 are still waiting, which means that the approval percentage for January filers, who are processed by CSC, is already 81%. So unless you are very unlucky, your I-130 should be approved pretty soon good.gif.

Hello all ,
To add to the growing list of transfers to CSC - my 1-130 also got transfered to CSC from VSC on May 11th 07. I had applied on Jan 28th 07, received by VSC Jan 30th , got my NOA1 in mail Feb 1 07 and ofcourse since then had done nothing until the transfer . So yeah ....def a good sign . After all the depressing threads here on VJ talking about how "backed-up" Vermont is , the transfer is a welcome development ............I'm sure a month and half down the road some of us will have complains about CSC wink.gif !!!!!

PS - A friends I-130 filed early Jan 07 also got transferred from VSC to CSC !! It'd be interesting to see when the NOA2's start trickling in since most of the petitions on this thread are from early 2007 .All the best !!!
Geist
We got another touch on our petition today! Yay!!!

I called the USCIS today and, although I got the impression she really didn't know what she was talking about (I was put on hold twice so she could conference with somebody else), she told me that petitions/cases are transferred to another service center to "finish processing" and that I was to expect an "update" within 60 days of the transfer. Either an RFE (which would be RIDICULOUS after 9+ months!) or an approval. Come on, approval!

With all the recent touches I told hubby to hold off sending the letter to his senator (it's typed up and signed, it just needs a stamp). I'm giving it another 2 weeks. Then the letter goes out.
Geist
Hmm
Finish processing, eh? They have yet to start processing our case! No touches at all until it was sent out!

But the info about the 60 days is good. I hope it's accurate whistling.gif
mikeandlani
hi! add us to the list of transferees from VSC to CSC. We refiled our I130 on October 1, 2006 and after our October 10, 2006 NOA1, we never heard from the USCIS. This May we got 2 touches, one on the 7th, notice of transfer, and the 12th that the petition is pending.

YAY! 7 months and all the update we get is its still pending....aaarghhh! ohmy.gif
