I was sure your petition would be transferred to the CSC (as were several others this week) but I'm glad you got your approval instead!

Rebex, Jediknight, Emily, nyseness, thank you!!!...If it can help, 2 or 3 little things we have learned from this 1st step: our lucky star was the senator, as i like the word: very human, always ready to help in the minute; we had nothing to send in writing, all happened by phone and when we needed. Thus we learned that they didn't begin to work on family petitions till the few last weeks...because the workload on other type of petitions, if i remember well working ones...if we have a look at their timelines...
Capt Ewok awaked us by suggesting to do something when the typical (non said) timeline of 180 days..were due...so a bigh thanks to him because we became more proactive....So lesson learned, find the right authority who fits you to give you the adapted help...
