Married in Aug 06 and sent in I 130 as soon as we could get the registered copy of the marriage license in Oct 06 to VSC.
Received notice of approval Mar 23/07 and was told that we would be hearing from the NVC soon. Its now been 6 weeks and have heard nothing.
Is is usual to take this long to transfer a file?
Been looking at the timelines and it seems that the whole I 130 process has slowed down considerably this past year, especially at VSC .
Would love to hear any advice that could be offered..
Thanks.. tongue.gif

You should call them or e-mail them to find out if they have it.

Thanks for the advice ... I looked around on the site and found a number for the NVC automated response (603-334-0700), called, followed the prompts, and gave them my CIS number and they gave me a visa number and told me that they had sent a letter out just this week ... definitely a lot easier than getting any info from the CIS. Hopefully this part of the application process will go a lot smoother than the first part.

Looks like they have your case. Call them and find out our case number, if you want.
