I'm getting all these touches so I'm wondering if I haven't been sent to NVC yet, although the lady told me I was. Sigh...I was hoping to be sent to Juarez this week!!!

Doesn't hurt to call...especially when everyone is getting their approvals. It'll give you something to do while you wait!!!

Hi Vismaster.. I received the hardcopy in the mail April 16 (monday).. in the letter (NOA1) i sais RECEVED DATE APRIL 6, 2007 and NOTICE DATE IS APRIL 12, 2007... so is APRIL 3 MY RECEIPT TIME? Thanks.. and so when should I call them again? Because I called yesterday and the person I spoke with said it still pending; not much help at all. Thanks..

April 3rd. I would think that late this week maybe next week...hopefully. Everyone seems to be getting touches now around the time they are approved so I would watch that....but it's not a sure thing. Many people never receive touches at all.

Took me about 3 minutes to get through to the NVC.

When I gave the lady my case number, all she could tell me was it wasn't there. CSC must still have it, unless the touch we got was it being transferred out to another SC

I called NVC, they dont have me yet. and I again got touched today like 10 mins ago.........I have never read here anyone getting touched so many times and so often (no approval email, case status same)

OK GUYS I DON'T WANT TO GET MY HOPES UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME I FEEL GOOD AND PRAYING.. FOR THE FIRST TIME I GOT TOUCHED (JUNE 20, 2007).. BUT THE CASE IS STILL THE SAME.. PENDING.. NOTHING NEW JUST A TOUCH.. AND I'M GUESSING THE REASON WAS BECAUSE I CALLED A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO (JUNE 18, 2007) AND DID THE RFE TRICK. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY POSITIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS TOUCH.. By the looks of your timeline, the touch should be something significant. Some of us started getting our touches AFTER we had been approved. I bet you'll find out something good.

A call using the RFE trick will result in a "touch" only if you get through to the second level (not just the CR that answers the phone). But the touch would occur the same day as the call, so this might be something more... Good luck

urge to race.. so you're saying since the touch wasn't on the day that i called.. this could mean something good? Thanks for the info and i wish everyone here and all of you are in my prayers as well..

Here is the deal....there have been A LOT of threads all over VJ about what a "TOUCH" means. Do a search and you will find TONS topics all asking this same question.

Look at my timeline....a touch when I applied and no touches until I got an E-mail saying I my NOA2 was approved.

Others in this thread have been touched quite often in between their NOA1 and NOA2.

Don't even bother wondering what a "TOUCH" indicates if you want to keep your sanity....just keep an eye on your timeline and the approval dates of others. If it exceeds by a couple weeks, then you might want to call and ask...but a "TOUCH" is just a tease...good or bad.

I just got off the phone with NVC. My case arrived today and it was just input a few minutes befor I called!
The couldn't believe I called just after it was input.

But good grief, why is it taking so long for them to send them?

I read a post from someone who used to work at a processing center. Apparently they put the files in bins. The group of files in a particular bin get processed together. If one case is held up the whole bin is held up. I think that is what happened to my case file.

Hi guys.. I have another touch for the 2nd time in two days.. I got my first touch on the 20th and today I got another touched (21st).. I do pray that this is it.. thanks again guys and if i don't get any confirmation by saturday I'll call USCIS by Monday..

Guys how can we check that NVC got our case? I presume we have to call them on (603 334-0700) and tell our case number WACXXXXXXXXXX? and how found out that they send our case to consulate and when consulate recieved a case? Sorry for stupid questions? I know many people already asked about that, but can't find a topic about that Willl NVC send E-mail saying that they send our case to Almaty Consulate here in Kazakhstan or what? Thank you!

Just posted this in another "March filer" thread but thought I would post it here too..

Just called VSC, only took about 5 mins to get through.. Used the RFE "trick" and was told that I didnt have any RFE's, that my case was "sitting there" and that "they are working on it", she also wanted to verify my address... I verified and she said ...hmmmm... never like to hear "hmmmm"!! ...then she said "it looks like when they sent it from Missouri they switched addresses" and had Missouri as my address.. WTF! , after giving my correct address she said "you should be hearing something within the next 60 days"!

Im more frustrated now, then before I called...!! LOL

Once we get the NOA2 they send the stuff to NVC right.. so do they notify you with an email or letter? or you just have to call NVC to find out? Thanks..

You never know. That might not be why you got touched. I don't know anything about the K-3 process or the how long it takes so I can't say, but it might be the read deal!!! Stay positive!!!

Once you are approved they will send it to NVC. They (USCIS) supposedly notify you by e mail, a letter, or you can input your case number on their site, and that should be updated with the correct information. Hope it helps and good luck to you !!

Today we called to NVC and asked of they recieved our case, and they told us that not and an operator told me very strange information... that they recieve cases in 90 days after UCSIS approval We are now more confused... We thought it takes 1-2 weeks for NVC to recieve a case from NVC?

I surely hope that information is not correct. I mean on the average most fiance petitions take about 6-8 months. I guess one thing you can do is look at people's timelines and see how long it took before NVC got their papers after the NOA2.. good luck elmira.. i hope i my NOA2 this week or next week.. thanks..

Sorry I mean she said NVC usually recieves approved cases from USCIS in 90 days...

kits_24_faith, I am sure you will get approval this week or next week maximum! I looked at people's timelines and according to them it takes 1-2 weeks! It is very strange

I just called NVC and they told me within 2-4 weeks.

USCIS also told me that it can take upto 30 days to hear back from NVC.

got another touch today on my I-129, but still nothing on my I-130...

Received my NOA2 hardcopy in mail today. Now why can't everything move that fast? Like....sending my flippin petition to the NVC??????

Looks like you're over the 70 day mark. Start calling USCIS RFE line....you guys are approaching. Good luck!

yesterday was my 70th day.. hehehe.. well i hope i'll get my NOA2 saturday or early next week...

no offense, but i filed before you and I haven't even gotten touched yet, so hold your horses.

I don't know if anyone answered your questions yet but this is what I did. I received an email from the UCSIS when we got the NOA2 approval so I thought I'd keep getting emails. Not so. I eventually tried calling the NVC (as the K-1 timeline on this website suggests) and found it very difficult to get through. I eventually did get through, they asked for the case number and some verifying facts about my US fiance etc. They then told me our package was already on its way to the consulate. The lady on the phone was very nice but I was so excited that I didn't think to ask her when they got it first. My fiance eventually got something from the NVC in the mail but I had already called by that time.

As for the consulate, I got my hands on the email address for mine and have used it for various questions. I just emailed them today and they emailed back within an hour saying they received our package and have sent package 3 in the mail already. They also attached package 3 to the email (though I've already seen what's coming thanks to this website - YAY for VJ!!). I did email them a couple of days ago and they said they hadn't received it yet so it seems like they give information pretty willingly. I would definitely email or call them if and when you get to that stage.

We decided not to call them till 2 July, and if NVC doesn't send anything to us till 2 July

I worry so much now about visa, as my Fiance has a contract job, so his sister will be our co-sponsor, so hopefully it will be OK with US Consulate

I admit.....I have no self-control. I call NVC everyday....sometimes twice. ( ) I promise to post as soon as they say my case is there and I'm sure you'll be there at the same time since we were approved at about the same.
