I called and spoke to someone and said that it's still pending. That's all he told me.. so should I call again and hope a different person will answer? What should I ask? Should I ask if it's been approved? By the way CSC has I-129F back again and they are doing December 2006..
vismaster
I'd wait until Monday or at least the end of this week, but it's up to you.

it's too early. People ahead of you, who filed in April haven't gotten any touches yet. Why don't you wait until people closer to your filing date actually see some touches before you call again. Also, you should file in your timeline.

Strange - I got a touch again today. Yesterday they told me its approved and being sent to NVC then why this touch.
Anyone seen touches after this approval/NVC departure?

Visamaster, how about yourself - any tocuhes for you today?
vismaster
Nothing new today. I'm hoping I'm already out of the system and on my way to NVC. That's what she told me anyhow, but she also said that petitions were being transferred to NSC which was evidently incorrect. sigh...Who knows?

Calling the service centers about your specific case often generates touches also.

I just want to congratulate those who got approved. I wish you guys smooth journey all the way. I hope I'll get ours too soon.
vismaster
I checked your timeline but you don't have one. Fill it in so that you'll know where you are in the process and so that the statistics for everyone else is more accurate. You might be closer than you think!
kimmbo
Congrats to all the recent approvals!!

still stuck at VSC here!!!

Dan&Tiffany
Congrats on approvals, guys!!

It appears I will win the March 2007 dubious distinction of being the LAST ONE to be approved (or denied)!!!! They are processing the end of March NOA1ers and look who is surrounded by approvals!!! Yes!!!!

And here I was hoping to unite with all the other March Mexico filers down in Juarez....take a shot of tequila and drink for me!!! kicking.gif

Well after getting touched twice in early June and then nothing, I thought I better call someone like many here have suggested. I decided to just call the NVC and see if they had received my packet and they said that they already sent it on to Japan yesterday (June 18)!!! This is awsome. But...

Does anyone else find the incompetence at the Service Center level unacceptable? Of course I'm thrilled that I'm further along in the process than I thought, but why haven't I received an NOA2? I plan on documenting all the misinformation I got and passing it on to someone (who, I don't know yet). I hope everyone else is doing the same. Who knows, CSC may not even realize that they are having problems. BTW, those of you who had similar problems, did you eventually get your NOA2 in the mail? Do we really need the hardcopy for the interview or later stages?

Congratulations. I'm keeping a note of al the incompitence that goes on with my application. I intend to pass it on to my Congressman / Senator.

Did you call? If not, you may have already been approved! Probably before us. I hope to meet you and Onofre in Juarez!!!!

Oh!!!! By the way, I went to see my sweetie today and celebrated by having him sign all the forms!!!! Just waiting on the appt letter now and then we're gone!
qbertz7
Doesn't it say somewhere on this site that when you send a copy of the I-129F packet you originally sent to start the application process to your beneficiary, you also have to include a copy of the NOA2? I could be wrong but I swear I read that somewhere and that your beneficiary will need it at some point...
qbertz7
By the way, vismaster, I am SO jealous that all you have to do is cross the border to see your significant other! No fair!
vismaster
lol...I'm sorry.... I don't mention it much because I don't wanna get attacked by hostile VJers. Still, I will be glad when he comes home. That's about as much of a 'long-distance' relationship as I can handle. I truly admire y'all.

He is higher than a kite too! He was so excited. He was shaking signing the forms. I'm praying that we receive the packet quickly with the appt letter (I printed all the forms from the website already so we don't need those....) so that I can avoid the new fees. It will be cutting it close, and of course NVC has to cooperate, but we might be able to pull it off. Any and all prayers appreciated!

You won't need the NOA2 until AOS.
qbertz7
What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).
2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.
3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).
4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is notarized (by a US Notary Public), with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.
5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.
6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.
7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

What about #6???

vismaster
Hmmm...well, only send a copy because you'll need the original for AOS. But I wouldn't worry about it.

Well I CANNOT believe the timing....USCIS must have read my post and heard my frustration....I JUST GOT AN E-MAIL AT 11:15PM SAYING MY NOA2 WAS APPROVED TODAY!!!! kicking.gif

Although I don't want to get my hopes up too much, because we filed at TSC (and then sent to CSC) on March 17th, I'm hoping we're going to hear something back very soon.

I am normally ok with waiting for things, but this is killing me! I almost died when we got our first touch, it was nice to know someone had looked at it!

Fingers crossed!

Check out my timeline, we have almost the same dates. Try calling VCS, they might already have your approved I-129. If you have read over this thread you can see that many of us were approved even though we never got our NOA2. Don't trust the info on the USCIS online tracking website. Good luck!

As the UKC, am I able to call up CSC and get an update, or does the USC have to do this since she is the petitioner?
vismaster
You can call, but if you are outside the US, I don't think you can access a toll free number....?????

I have a good US calling plan so I don't mind the charges. Now I just need to find a number to call!
vismaster
I don't know if there is another number other than the toll free number. Try looking in the USCIS thread.
RaTBoX
I can call a toll free number, it's just not free. The only number I have found is for the NSCS. Is that who I need to call?

I just looked at your timeline. Your NOA1 is pretty far from your sent date. Did you put the 'receipt' date that is on your NOA1?

Then follow the prompts that someone else posted yesterday (or the day before).
RaTBoX
Oh well. The automated line said there was no updates, and when I called again and used the prompt combination, the message said I had to be the applicant or an attorney etc. I couldn't have the info, so I just hung up. I'll get the OH to call when she gets home.

Thanks for the help.
vismaster
Sorry it didn't work for you. Maybe she'll have better luck. It should be awfully close for you looking at your timeline. Your dates are actually before mine.
RaTBoX
I'll post back later if she's had any luck!

So frustrating tongue.gif

Try calling the NVC direct, that's what I did. I just said that I was getting confusing info from CSC and I wanted to check if my case arrived yet. They asked me for my recipt #, Beneficiary's name and DOB. I never received an NOA2 and my case has already gone through NVC and is on it's way to the consulate. The number is 603-334-0700. Press 1 for Eng and 5 for a rep. I called around 8:45 EST and only waited about 10 minutes to speak to someone.

You should go by the NOA1 receipt date that is on your NOA1. April 3rd is when I received it in the mail (hardcopy). What is your receipt date?
