Hello, this is my first post to visajourney.com, so I hope I'm doing it right and in the right place. I'm a British guy who currently has a L1 visa with my employer (my family are on L2s).

I'm currently going through the green card process and was happy to see I have a biometric appointment this month. Things seem to be going forward quite quickly. My attorneys filed my AOS, Advanced Parole and EAD on 23 March - and I got the letter yesterday for my biometrics.

The question is, how long, on average does it take to get my EAD after the biometrics, and secondly, can I resign and move employers once I have the EAD, or do I need to wait until the whole AOS process is complete?

The EAD can take up to 90 days to get from the date on the receipt notice for the EAD.

Changing employers should be fine, the EAD is usable for any job.
