Hi all. My name is Michele and my fiance is Adam. I'm from Michigan and he's from England. Met on myspace, neither one of us looking for love, late June 2006. Things got serious shortly after that, and Adam came to visit for the first time in November 2006, for a week. It went very very well and we fell in love. He came back in January 2007 for 3 weeks and I went there in February for a week, where he proposed on Valentine's Day. He came back with me after that week and has been here for (almost) 3 wonderful months. He's set to leave May 20th and I couldn't be more heartbroken. We've started the immigration process now and I'm hoping the time will fly by!

I can't believe what a wonderful website this is! As you all know, this is such a confusing and involved process, and almost every question I've had about it, I've been able to answer by visiting this site! (I cannot tell you my relief at having it confirmed that Adam can visit with our application pending!) You are all very kind and it's so nice to know there's a "family" out there going through the same thing as us.

Haha, I wonder how much we'd have to have taxes raised, nationally, to hire a few hundred more USCIS workers for two months to get all our applications done? Can't be THAT much, right? Under a buck a citizen? Haha. I say we start a petition!

So, just wanted to say hi, and good luck to us all.

Hate to be a buzzkill, but it is not an absolute definite that he will be able to visit during this process. There are many VJ'ers who have been denied entry at the border for lack of ties to their home country (my hubby was one of them). That said, there are also many who were able to visit during this process. Proof of ties to the home country is very important.

Anyway, good that you found this site. It has helped me a lot too in navigating this crazy process
