I know Mumbai post the list on their website by 15/16th of the month, but they sure must be sending the packet4/interview dates before that. Has anyone received interview date for June?

Give it about a month before the consulate recieves and process/s packet 3, you can call the DOS to find out your exact status with the embassy. THey told me exacttly when the consulate recieved packet 3 and exacttly what date packet 4 was sent out and an interview was schduled before it was even posted on the site

There is a possiability that you'll not get an interview in June, since your packet 3 was only received by the consulate in late April. You should try calling the Department of State at 202-663-1225 (option 1, listen to the entier list of options, and then after a small pause, it will say press "0" to talk to an operator). They'll be able to tell you if an interview has been scheduled for June.

In my case, I was informed by calling DOS on March 28th that an interview was scheduled for May 24th, my case was at the Mumbai consulate by Feb 28th. I was hoping for an April interview, but I guess our case got there too late.

hey ssma2007, did you receive a packet 3 in mail from the embassy or did you just downloaded all the forms and sent it in? The reason i ask is i was told by DOS that packet 3 was mailed to my wife on 17th of April and she has yet to receive it.

I was just trying to figure out if anyone actually receive the packet 3 from Mumbai embassy.

By the way after reading the forums here i had my wife send packet 3 embassy without waiting for it to arrive.

No my fiancee hasn't received it. DOS says it was mailed on April 18th. We downloaded it from the web-site and submitted.

From what i have been reading on the forums it seems Mumbai Embassy doesn't send out Packet 3. They just say they do or they use a extremely unreliable carrier.

I hope its better with Packet 4.

My fiancee handed over the packet3 at Mumbai counter on April 27th. On enquiry with DOS, Mumbai still has not entered the packet3 info. Is this normal?

Mumbai consulate phones are impossible to reach and they don't seem to answer emails nowadays.

Mumbai does send a packet 3, my fionce recieved hers 7 days after the embassy mailed it out. The dos will be able to tell you when it was sent. They do send it regular india post. Packet 4 is delivered the same way. IF you live close to mumbai then best bet is to download packet 3 forms and turn them in person at the embassy. Look at my timeline. It is very accuarte for mumbai

So it takes about 6 weeks for them to receive Packet 3 and send you a Packet 4.

same thing happnd wit me..i never got pkt 3..and so went personally to give them..i submitted it..
but after 15 days..they still havnt entered it in their system..so went again to information counter, and insisted that they enter pkt 3 info in their system in front of me..they did that..and later i recd pkt 4 efficiently ....
so..just be on their heads....

They really entered the information in front of you? May be i should tell my wife to go to the embassy and ask if they'll do the same for her. Its been more than 3 weeks for us since Packet 3 was personally submitted to the embassy.

Update on my Case,

My wife received Packet 4 today and her interview has been scheduled for June 13th. She said the Packet 4 letter had original date of June 1st but then it was marked out and changed to June 13th.

I Packet was handed in on April 23rd.

Update: June interview dates are now posted on Mumbai consulate website.

Happy to say that our case finally made it to New Delhi on May 15th. Let's see how long it takes....
