Good morning to all,
I was just wondering, is it me or is Vermont taking a long time to process. I submitted the paperwork for my spouse a month ago. I have not received anything from them.
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you

Hiya -- nope, it's not you. Vermont is indeed taking its merry time with processing applications (maybe all the staff have gone on holiday to the California office, which is why things are so quick over there!

). I had to wait almost a month for my receipt notice, although they were amazingly able to cash in their cheque within a few days... My biometric appointment was in March so I'm back to waiting again. You could try calling the USCIS and asking them if there's a problem, but I'm not sure how much help they'll be -- making an infopass appointment might be better but again it might turn out to be a complete waste of your time. I'd say be patient for a little while longer.
Good luck!

Hey Miri, good to see you again. I think a lot of us from 05 are back again on the site. Yeah, I guess being patient is what its going to take. I submitted on April 16th and there's been no movement yet. J-Manu is probably right about the longer time and we all may just have to wait some more. Good luck everyone.

Look at my time line and know you need patience.

After your petition has been there 45 days, call the 800 number. They will file an inquiry. I have no idea how long that takes. Our check has finally been cashed and we received a receipt for the check, but no NOA1.
Good luck.

I just learned today that my friends who have applied for an I-129 nonimmigrant work visa (H1B) on april 1st, they got an answer today that says thier case has been sent to vermont along with thousands of others for processing. This might be some of the reason for such delays since then. Just a thought. Good luck.

Yes, it does seem that VSC takes looog time. I submitted my I-751 late November 2006, and got my biometrics done in late Jan, 2007. Then, the long, long waiting time. So far, I have not heard any news from. Call them today, was told my case is still pending... No defenite answer.
