I dont know if this poll was ever done before.. BUT for my own personal curiosity..

I have not so far... BUT i think I might once my husband get here tongue.gif - or maybe he'll do it for me;)
Aymerlu
I always make the bed, unless someone is still in in when I leave for the day. I'm kinda a neat freak blush.gif
Cassie
I do now, I never was in the habit before. We are making a big effort to declutter the house and get more organized. The first room we tackled was our bedroom -- after all, it's our sanctuary. smile.gif Making the bed just keeps the room looking good and it's a lot less stressful to come home to a nice neat bed.
Magenta
Yup.
eau_xplain
I'm usually out of the house before hubby is even up. So, no, I don't make the our bed everyday ... just on weekends when we both get up at the same time. smile.gif
babybunny
yes.
Jenn!
Never.
Niels Bohr
Home is the last sanctuary for the day. I make sure everything is neat. My wife also prefer it like that. We both make the beds when we're together.
Alex+R
One of us always makes it before we get into it at night... and sometimes if we are trying to keep really neat I will make it in the morning. That's rare though.

Nope - my bed is factory-made. tongue.gif

good.gif Exactly what I was going to say! If it is "made," then I have to go to the trouble of "unmaking" it to get into it wink.gif
Wacken
Maybe once a week when I launder all the bedclothes. Otherwise, no. It is just too much trouble when you share a bed with a 13.5 month old who loves to bring chaos to order as a matter of course.
CountryBoy
I don't really mess it up .. I generally fall asleep on the couch and never make it that far .. when my SO gets here that may change though wink.gif
PEGGY
I make it soon as I get up.

Cant handle my room looking messy without the bed made
Nagishkaw
My momma taught me if I make my bed, I gotta lay in it.
Sheherazade
i only make it when i'm in that "cleaning mood" or when people are coming over. so generally, no, i don't make it in the morning.

my fiance on the other hand, makes his everyday! so i imagine we'll be making it once he gets here. hopefully it will be HIM. lol
JODO
I probably make my bed 3 times a week. I definitely make it if company will be coming over or if I have just changed the linen etc.
walls1010
I'm doing it daily after hubby get his ### out of the bed laughing.gif I don't want to leave the bed look untidy even before I married my dear husband.
bora bora
We do not make our bed everyday - but probably a few times a week. My husband can't work yet so he tends to make it after he gets up (while cleaning the house). good.gif
DeadPoolX
I rarely -- if ever -- make the bed. I'm of the mind, "I'm just going to mess it up again so why bother?" My SO has a different opinion. She always makes the bed. When I'm with her, we make it together.

Before I was married and just had my own bed...I hardly ever made it.

After marriage, I started making it basically every day.
jg_am
I made it daily, now my wife does. She does the tuck thing like hotels do, and I always untuck the top sheet before I get in. It feels to restricting on my legs.
CherryXS
Yes--I learned it rather early-on.
LovinLiberia
I try to make mine most days, except if I'm really rushing for work. My fiance is a neat freak and he HAS to have the bed made, so I know when he gets here he will be the one to make sure it is always done.
jasman0717
I can't, Claudeth is still in it when I leave for work tongue.gif
Dan + Gemvita
Hahah. The percentage is bigger for NO. Glad I'm not alone.
Happy Bunny
Yes, daily!

And I also don't sit on it before I shower. I've got a germ-phobia thing, and the last thing I'd do is get INTO my bed after being out in the 'elements' LOL...

I see shows on tv where the characters come home, take off clothes & HANG THEM BACK UP and then get into bed clothes and GET IN BED! Ewww I was screaming inside my head.

Lisa, you remind me of Bree Van der Kamp in Desperate Housewives. She always maintains everything clean and neat. One of my fave character. laughing.gif

I make the bed when I come back into the bedroom after I have taken a shower. Sometimes my husband will do it before I get the chance - well trained, see! But..........I tell him not to because I like the bed to "air" a little before it's made.

As for hanging up a shirt you have worn all day so you can wear it again - yuck!

Never.

Me Neither. Hahaha. I figure, you're just going to get in it and mess it up again, so why waste the effort?
raymaga
Every single day, without fail!!!!

I like the bed to "air" for a bit before making it though.

As far as wearing anything twice.... yep, we do that all the time.... we put them in the wash when they're dirty!!!! (except undergarments.... those only get worn once!!!)

Ok, phew I feel better now. laughing.gif

Growing up, I would try to get away with throwing clothes in the hamper after wearing them only once in order to avoid having to fold them or hang them up. But my mom always caught me and I would get in trouble. I think she saw it as wasteful, so that's just what I've become used to...

Ditto. If I haven't sweat in my shirt or jeans, I see no reason not to wear them again until they are actually dirty.

My mom did the same thing. We could never get away with throwing "clean" clothes into the hamper. Even to this day, I will still wear it again if it isn't sweaty or stained.

I make the bed every morning. If it's not made i feel the room is messy. Now Gary on the other hand could careless if its made, he does *try* and pull up the covers tho.
broma25
Make the bed every day, if hubby is still sleeping when I leave then I make it when I get home, but it has to be made before I can get back in it.
*Marilyn*
nope.... never have.... about the only time I actually make the bed is when I change the sheets....

I usually straighten out the covers right before we go to bed... Hubby likes it when I cover him with the blankets; "I tuck him in" tongue.gif
Nessa
not everyday, no. I used to when a child (the way I was raised), but after I was an adult, I had to leave home for work at 6am, come back at 8pm, I just wouldn't do it anymore.
Nowadays, since I was without a job for so long, I sometimes make the bed, most of the day I'd say, just so it looks nice. But not every day. When I have a kid I plan on starting doing that again daily, because you can't teach a kid to do something and do otherwise.
