I always make the bed, unless someone is still in in when I leave for the day. I'm kinda a neat freak

I do now, I never was in the habit before. We are making a big effort to declutter the house and get more organized. The first room we tackled was our bedroom -- after all, it's our sanctuary.

Making the bed just keeps the room looking good and it's a lot less stressful to come home to a nice neat bed.

Home is the last sanctuary for the day. I make sure everything is neat. My wife also prefer it like that. We both make the beds when we're together.

One of us always makes it before we get into it at night... and sometimes if we are trying to keep really neat I will make it in the morning. That's rare though.

Exactly what I was going to say! If it is "made," then I have to go to the trouble of "unmaking" it to get into it

Maybe once a week when I launder all the bedclothes. Otherwise, no. It is just too much trouble when you share a bed with a 13.5 month old who loves to bring chaos to order as a matter of course.

We do not make our bed everyday - but probably a few times a week. My husband can't work yet so he tends to make it after he gets up (while cleaning the house).

I rarely -- if ever -- make the bed. I'm of the mind, "I'm just going to mess it up again so why bother?" My SO has a different opinion. She always makes the bed. When I'm with her, we make it together.

And I also don't sit on it before I shower. I've got a germ-phobia thing, and the last thing I'd do is get INTO my bed after being out in the 'elements' LOL...
I see shows on tv where the characters come home, take off clothes & HANG THEM BACK UP and then get into bed clothes and GET IN BED! Ewww I was screaming inside my head.

I make the bed when I come back into the bedroom after I have taken a shower. Sometimes my husband will do it before I get the chance - well trained, see! But..........I tell him not to because I like the bed to "air" a little before it's made.
As for hanging up a shirt you have worn all day so you can wear it again - yuck!

As far as wearing anything twice.... yep, we do that all the time.... we put them in the wash when they're dirty!!!! (except undergarments.... those only get worn once!!!)

Ok, phew I feel better now.

Growing up, I would try to get away with throwing clothes in the hamper after wearing them only once in order to avoid having to fold them or hang them up. But my mom always caught me and I would get in trouble. I think she saw it as wasteful, so that's just what I've become used to...

not everyday, no. I used to when a child (the way I was raised), but after I was an adult, I had to leave home for work at 6am, come back at 8pm, I just wouldn't do it anymore.
Nowadays, since I was without a job for so long, I sometimes make the bed, most of the day I'd say, just so it looks nice. But not every day. When I have a kid I plan on starting doing that again daily, because you can't teach a kid to do something and do otherwise.
