Hi, we mailed our packet off 3/31 and it was recieved april 2nd. We haven't received a receipt or any biometrics letter and it's worrying because I'm reading here that people get some kind of notice within a couple of weeks and we've just passed 5 weeks. Is there a number we can call or should we just wait? We are leaving for the UK in 2 weeks (for 3 weeks) so we are getting pretty nervous here (greencard exprires june 25)

Anyone have any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance smile.gif

Hi!

Well, we sent a money order, unfortunately wacko.gif

I just wish we had received a receipt or something. All I have is the name of the person who signed for the package...

Hi, a friend from anoher froum went for a stamp in her passport since she had not received her extention and needed to travel for Christmas, they did stamp her passport the things she bring to her Info Pass appointment was the copy of the cleared check, and a copy of all the file I-751 (all the documents sent). If you definetely have to travel outside the country I would not recomend you to do it with an expired GC and no extention letter or stamp.

I hope you receive your NOA soon ! Good luck!

Both Calif and Vermont have extended there time table for logging in the I-751. I was told that Monday, May 1st, it changed from 30 to 45 days. Try getting an Infopass appointment, may be they can give you an I-551 stamp.

Good luck.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the replies. 45 days huh? Is that the waiting time to get an NOA?

We will return from our traveling with his GC still current, but it will expire 2 weeks after we return. I guess we are just in a holding pattern of waiting for news. I am not sure what to do if they send the letter with an appt while we are gone though..? I guess a friend can open the letter for us and hopefully there will be a contact name/number on it and we can let them know we are away...hmmmm...should be interesting I guess! wacko.gif
