Got aq letter today from the police in the uk and i think this is all i need but not sure as it says that i will recieve a seperate reply.

This is what i got.

Dear Sir
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998
The Data Protection Act places an obligation on the Police when holding personal information to provide a copy of that information (unless an exemption applies) to the individual concerned.
In reply to your request for information which may be held about you on police computers in this Police Force in the following categories:-
Scottish Criminal Record Office Computer
I can now inform you that from the personal details supplied in your request that there
is no information that the Chief Constable is obliged to disclose.
Since you requested information held on the Police National Computer you will be sent a separate reply, directly from the National Identification Service at New Scotland Yard, within 40 days of your application.

Sounds like you will receive the actual police report within 40 days, hopefully before your interview.

You may want to hold the check-list for a few days before sending it in.

its been almost 40 days already. i think the other one will be posted. Both say you will recieve another letter so i imagine they both get sent about the same time.

The letter is in front of me and it says National Identification Service in white all over the letter...at the Top and Bottom it has two blue lines with National Identifiction Service Authentic Document written on both blue lines, the address on the Left hand side says ......National Identification Sevice

Room 350
New Scotland Yard
Broadway
London
SW1H 0BG

If this is like the letter you have, then it is the correct one if not you will have to wait a few more weeks, mine took nearly 60 days to arrive so be patient.

Yeh its not the one i have. i understand i have to get 2 different ones. So i will wait till i have the right one with the blue lines.
