Hi To All,

I posted a thread the other day wondering about the timeline for the interview, etc... for the Montreal Consulate.

After numerous unanswered e-mails, behold in my inbox today was a reply. I was told this thursday at 8:30 A.M!!!

Packet 4 will not be arriving as this is a last minute cancellation and they scheduled us for the interview. I'm told to bring the e-mail in order to gain access to the building.

I'm a little concerend because they told us to bring what was stated in packet 3. We have everything from Packet 3.

I've read certain things aboth an envelope?

Please let me know if i need to bring anything else, other than what i was told to bring in packet 3. Thank you.

From whaat I recall, you'll need duplicate copies of everything(I-134, birth certs, everything they ask for in packet 3). The sealed envelope is your medical info. Even thouhg they probably won't need them, bring your chest x-ray. We had a situation where we forgot our letter(we had one faxed) but we stopped at the consulate the morning of and they said it was fine. Double check yourself. I think there's also so many passport-style photos, other evidence(photos, etc). I'm sure there's more. Basically check and recheck packet three.

Oh yeah...$100 US Cash and passport.

It's the self addressed envelope from Canada post (Express Post).> I forget the dimentions but you can search or I assume someone will post it later.. smile.gif

It's mostly about what you can't bring into the building..

Here's a list - http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/te...=securitynotice

Wait a second, what exactly do we have to bring from Packet 3? I didn't photocopy anything I sent in... I was going to but didn't want to put off sending anything... I did take pictures of the signed forms, etc, though. Not sure if that would help though!!! Of course, my fiance has the i-134 and hasn't completed it yet because I think we're going to wait until it's a bit closer to when I might have my interview so it will be more up-to-date etc. so I can make sure he gets photocopies of it...

AND I keep reading about interviews being scheduled before Packet 4 arrives in the mail. If we're supposed to have something for Packet 4 for the interview but it doesn't come in time, what happens then?

From what I remember when we got our PKG 4 (in December 2006) it is just the security information and the information for the express envelope. I don't remember there being any "extra" instructions. You just need the scheduling letter (which is the letter which comes in PKG 4) in this case they didn't get a Pkg4 so they have an e-mail stating it.

Check out the embassy info page, it's a great place to start. VJ members have been good about keeping it current.

I guess I'm still a bit confused... what do I do if I find out about my interview before I get the Packet 4 in the mail? I guess I'd only know if I had an email about it so I would just take a copy of the email with me? And now I'm also wondering... what if I don't call, and turns out I get the Packet the day of or after the scheduled date wacko.gif Not that I expect that to happen, but I guess this just got me wondering smile.gif

What's in Packet 4 anyway? blink.gif Just realized I don't even know, lol. Other than the interview date (unless that's all it is)
