Where's the fellowship? I've been a member here for 2 or more years, and I would never have believed that what has happened in recent weeks could occur on a site like VJ. While I am not aware of the specific details relating to issues with members, actions taken with particular person(s) should not be to the detriment of members here, as a whole.

Please tell me why it is that the moderation of VJ feels so compelled to prevent members from learning from information that might be present on other immigration sites. If I wish to alert members to my participation on other immigration sites, why am I not able? My signature has been altered!

I see at least one other member with the same FBI site link in her signature and it has *not* been removed. Seems as if DM has been targeted.

I dont see any problems with having links to other sites.... it called using the information available to us.... that is how we all learn.... next we will be restricted from using links to USCIS and other places....

This will not help VJ grow... I too have been here for few years and I agree things are not looking too good with all the restrictions that seam to being applied....

Ewok mentioned briefly a problem with the other site. if there has been issues, why would VJ promote corroboration? Just playing devil's advocate based on what E. wrote himself.

Was the site in question the one that was altered in DM's signature, though?

I PM'd you the answer before and I will do the same on the Board since you posted the question here again. From time to time other sites feel fit to come to here and spam the site. Spaming could mean posting invites to visit their site all over the place, sending PM's to dozens of members to avoid being seen doing it, posting elicit pictures, things that violate the TOS and other means. In any case if the issues becomes an ongoing problem then member is banned and their site filtered out automatically to discourage future spamming.

Because this thread is likely to spin off in mnay different directions I would ask that people PM me directly if they have questions. I would be more than happy to reply back and answer curious people . In the end things like this are just a TOS enforcement issue. There are only a few websites actually blocked from linking (some sex sites, hate sites, and even some normal sites that felt it neccesary to spam the site). The TOS clearly says no advertising is allowed (if it was then it would be a spammers paradise). I hope you can understand!

Yes the site in question in Diad's signature had spammed the site in the past.

. I am sure my post above cleared things up, however to be clear... no sites are being randomly blocked. The one in question however had spammed the site in the past and was blocked only for that reason.
